Due to the extremely positive feedback I received from my customers and the wonderful fishing experiences we've had, I have decided to offer several trips to Iceland again in This is your chance to join the first scheduled flyfishing trip to Iceland for Exclusive world class Sea Trout fishing in the river Eldvatn. River Eldvatn is considered one of the top 5 Sea Trout rivers in Iceland. Prime season rods are booked years in advance and only available through a lottery! This trip is limited to 6 rods today 4 rods are still available. Therefore if you are interested- please react promptly- this trip will sell out quickly! 2 The Waters & the Fish River Eldvatn + River Graenillekur are both located on the south-east coast of the island. Driving distance from Reykjavik is about 4 hours. Both rivers are totally free flowing wild beautiful rivers with literally no visible human impact and very healthy resident and running fish populations. Our main water, River Eldvatn splits into several branches, all of which are fishable, giving us a total of about 40km of fishable water! The river has very diverse flows, faster sections of steeper gradient, long glassy pools, many small islands break up the flows and provide excellent fish cover. Much of the water can be reached by foot from the lodge. River Graenillekur is considered hardcore fishing, as it stretches through a large tidal area with quick sands. It can only be fished in good and safe conditions. Both rivers stretch from the estuary several miles inland. Depending on the season very strong runs of sea trout, arctic char and atlantic salmon take place. Very good numbers of large brown trout and arctic char are resident to the rivers all year long. Specially the sea run fish often reach trophy sizes of 70cm and more! We have booked the following stretches of water exclusively for our group: River Eldvatn: 40 km + River Graenillekur: 20 km (including estuaries) This means there will be nobody else fishing these waters at the time being... Target fish: On this spring trip we will mainly focus on the numerous very large Sea Trout running up from the sea. Statistics from spring 2014: 4 fish/day/rod in average. This is counting only trophy sea trout of 70cm or more! The largest sea trout was 98cm. Also in spring many Arctic char are running up the rivers. Their average size is around cm. We may also encounter some Atlantic Salmon. These are fish that held in the rivers during winter after spawning and do not run in early spring. Both rivers also hold a healthy population of resident large Brown Trout, some of these may very well reach 80-90cm! For the Sea Trout a strict Catch'n Release policy applies! In spring time we may harvest a few salmon, char and brown trout for the kitchen. Both rivers are Fly only!

3 Location / Lodge & Food The base for our daily fishing trips is the Eldvatn River Lodge situated right on the banks of River Eldvatn, close to the estuary. It is a modern one story house, totally renovated in Every participant will have his own private room. The lodge is equipped with all standard amenities as showers, kitchen, living room, outside Jacuzzi, grill, satellite TV and WiFi internet connection. The location is very remote: There is no shopping or entertainment nearby. We will have the possibility to shop in Reykjavik upon our arrival to Iceland. Food 3 meals per day are included in the price. Self catered breakfast and lunch. A nice catered warm dinner is served daily. If you have any specific dietary requirements, please let me know at the time of booking. Weather in Iceland Generally the weather is quite unpredictable and may change very quickly. As we are on the coast the temperatures are moderate- in April we still may experience some light snowfall occasionally. A common companion when fishing in Iceland is the wind. This is why we recommend fishing with rather heavy rods and lines. We highly recommend bringing a good choice of clothing that can be worn in layers. Take along with you: - Warm clothing that can be worn in layers (thermals, fleeces, windbreakers) - Thermal underwear, specially for under your waders! - Good rainjacket, warm hat, gloves

4 - Hiking boots, house shoes - Swim trunks for Jacuzzi, towel - comfortable clothing for the evenings in the lodge - Camera, GoPro - personal items... Fishing Equipment Rods, weight # 7-10 / 9-12 ft. - ev. 1 Rod weight # 5-6 Rods & Reels can be rented from Arek at the price of Euro 50 per week. If you'd like to rent your equipment, please let me know at the time of booking! - Fly lines: ideally- 1x Floating + 1x Intermediate or sink-tip - Flies: any trout & salmon streamers/nymphs, dry flies: dark patterns size You can buy quality flies tied by Arek when we are there. - Tippet material mm - Chest waders no hip waders or fishing boots! - good wading boots (better rubber soles than felt) - again- thermal underwear for inside your waders - Polaroid glasses - Day pack / Chest pack - Net - Fly tying stuff, if you wish... Fishing Technique Did you know that large Sea Trout will often readily take small dark dry flies? Arek is a specialist on these waters and has been fishing Eldvatn in spring since many years. Like any fishing we will have to adjust our technique to the conditions at that time. Generally streamers fished down and across do very well for all types of fish, the brownies, the arctic char, the salmon and most importantly- the sea trout. Deeply fished nymphs in dead drift also produce very well for trout and char. It may be necessary to adjust the depth of our presentation, therefore it is imperative to have floating and sinking/sink-tip lines with you.

5 On a nice mild evening we may be able to fish one of the lakes in the area. For that purpose it may be handy to have a lighter rod and some dry flies at hand. Further Information - Currency: Islandic Kronar, Euros are accepted in most shops and restaurants. Same goes for all major credit cards. - Electric: 220V, 2 prong plugs (swiss standard works) - Desinfection: As a rule all fishing gear has to be desinfected when entering Iceland to avoid importing fish diseases. You may have this done at home (desinfection certificate required) or at the entry airport in Kevlavik. Our Flights Switzerland (Geneva or Zürich) Iceland (Kevlavik) return Departure: Saturday 11. April 2015 Return: Saturday 18. April 2015 Details on your flights will follow a few weeks before departure. All flights are with Swiss + IcelandAir Upon arrival in Reykjavik/Keflavik we will be picked up by Arek personally. Then we will drive along the southern route with 2 4x4 vehicles to the Eldvatn River Lodge. Depending our arrival/departure times, we may be able to fish for a few hours on our travelling days.

7 Not included are: - desinfection costs fishing equipment - rental gear if required - alcoholic drinks & smokes - travel to airport in Switzerland - Souvenirs, personal stuff - Insurance Terms and Conditions: We require a 50% downpayment at the time of booking. This amount is to be settled via banktransfer to the account of APK Fishing Guide Iceland (Details see below) Your booking can only be confirmed, once your downpayment has been credited to the specified bank account. The remaining balance is due via banktransfer latest by 01. March Attention: This trip will book out quickly. We work on a first come- first served basis. There is a maximum of 6 rods available. To secure your spot, please react promptly by transferring the required downpayment. Cancellation: from the participant: until 31. December 2014: Reimbursement of your downpayment minus cancellation fee of Euro 300. until 28. February 2015: 50% of total sum is due = no reimbursement of your downpayment. until 11. April 2015: 100% of total sum is due.
