4 Do you realize that if you are elected to Student Council you will be required to: 1. Work at mandatory Homecoming and Winterfest decorating, attend meetings after school when necessary, work lunch tables throughout the year and particpate in any other activities sponsored by the Student Council. 2. All members must attend Homecoming Decorating (Friday, September 21st) All members must attend Winterfest Decorating ( Friday, February 8 th ) Failure to attend these mandatory events will be grounds for removal from Council. 3. Participate in fundraising activities sponsored by Student Council. 4. Be prepared to attend all Student Council meetings, committee and weekly committee meetings. 5. Be willing to help at other Student Council sponsored events such as: a) Pep rallys b) Elections c) Dances d) Publicity campaigns and other related activities e) Work during your lunch period on Student Council activities Since most of your work occurs during third hour, you must try to keep third period open. You will not be allowed to drop third hour to move your free hour to the end of the day and remain on Council. The after school meetings are for those Council members who do not have a free hour or other schedule conflicts prevent them from having third hour free. After school meetings are held Monday evenings at Stevenson from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm. I have read and understood the preceding description of Student Council and its responsibilities. 5 Student Council Member Petition I understand that as a member of Student Council I would have the responsibility of upholding the rules of the school, the Council, and represent the student body of Stevenson High School. I would be willing to accept disiplinary action if I fail in these responsibilites as a member of Student Council. Please obtain the following signatures as endorsements for your membership.
