2 About Us SUSTAINU is a clothing company focused on changing the way clothes are made to improve the environment, reinvigorate America s manufacturing sector, and educate the world about how clothing can positively impact people s lives. SustainU manufactures custom printed, private label, and retail items that represent job creation through innovation in Green Technology. Our apparel is made from two types of staple yarn: recycled pre-consumer cotton waste and post-consumer recycled polyester (PET), which is derived primarily from plastic bottles and post-industrial polyester scraps. Made in the textile regions of North and South Carolina and Pennsylvania, SustainU clothing requires zero-virgin growth and minimal transportation, while reducing both costs and environmental impact. Manufactured entirely within the United States, SustainU Clothing is creating new jobs and re-employing existing textile factories, bringing economic hope to many communities and families. SustainU works with a network of factories that are experts in the cutting and sewing of garments. These factories allow for the large-scale output of finished goods, giving SustainU the ability and flexibility to work on various apparel programs simultaneously with quick turn around times.
