In 1999, he moved to Body Components at Fiat Auto where he was responsible for all external components of the Fiat/Alfa Romeo/Lancia vehicles. In 2009, he returned to the Fiat Research Centre, where he was responsible for Vehicle Architecture and technical functions. Since 2012, he has been serving as R&D Director at Tofaş. ALTAN AYTAÇ After Sales and Spare Parts Director Altan Aytaç graduated from the Industrial Engineering Department of Boğaziçi University and completed the EMBA Master s program at Koç University in He began his career at Tofaş Auto Trading, in the first logistics department and later served in the commercial field. He also served as Manager of the CBU (Completed Vehicle) Logistics Department. After completing production, integration, and simplification projects in the field of external logistics, he was appointed Commercial Projects Coordinator in 2003, Fiat Brand Manager in 2004, and Business Unit Director Turkey for the Alfa Romeo and Lancia brands in In 2008, he was appointed Tofaş s Supply Chain Director, and in January 2015 as After Sales and Spare Parts Director. BURHAN ÇAKIR Human Resources Director Burhan Çakır graduated from Middle East Technical University Mechanical Engineering in He began his career in 1989 as an Engineer in Pressing Production at Tofaş. From 1993 to 2004, he served as Press Workshop Manager, Body Production Unit Manager, Part Export Department Manager and Industrial Control Manager. He has served as Human Resources Director at Tofaş since ARZU ÇOLAKOĞLU Corporate Communications Director Arzu Çolakoğlu holds a degree in Economics (English) from Istanbul University. She began her career as a planning specialist at Doğuş Automotive Service and Trading in Between 1998 and 2003, she served as Planning and Logistics Manager and VW Commercial Vehicle Marketing Manager. In 1997, he raced in the Good Year Off-Road Cup. Between 2000 and 2012, he was responsible for Sales Marketing operations at Daimler-Chrysler. Between 2005 and 2011, he was the Birmot Assistant Operational General Manager, and since 2011 he has been serving as Sales Director for Tofaş. İBRAHİM ÇAĞLAR ŞAHİN Projects Director İbrahim Çağlar Şahin graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Uludağ University in 1983 and obtained a Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering in From 1983 to 1985, he carried out his thesis studies as a Research Employee at METU. Between 1989 and 1993, he served as a Method Engineer at Tofaş. From 1993 to 2013, he was Suspension Production Manager, Transmission and Suspension Unit Manager, Powertrain Plant Manager, Powertrain Production Manager, Minicargo Project Director, Quality Director, and R&D Product Engineering Director. ZEKİ ERDAL ŞİMŞEK Quality Director Zeki Erdal Şimşek graduated as an Aeronautics Engineer from the Aeronautics and Space Sciences faculty of Istanbul Technical University in 1987 and completed the Business Administration Master s Program at Istanbul University in In 1990, he began his career as a Project Engineer at Tofaş, and after 11 years service, was appointed as Plant Manager at the Fiat automobile plant in Cairo. RECEP TEMİZESEN Production Director Recep Temizesen graduated from the Mechanical Engineering department of Middle East Technical University. He began his career as a Press Product Process Specialist at Tofaş in 1992, and consequently served as Press Product Process Section Manager, Press Engineering Manager, and Press Production Manager. AHMET NUMAN ALTEKİN Strategic Management and Business Development & Cost Competitiveness Director Ahmet Numan Altekin graduated from Sheffield University Material Technology Department, Metallurgical Engineering. He completed his Master s in Quality Management at Qualital/Pisa University in 1991 and began his career as Smelting Engineer at the Etibank Ergani Copper Plant in 1976 before starting at Tofaş as Quality Manager in He carried out various duties at different grades in the Quality Department and went to work as Quality Manager at the Fiat Cassino Plant in He later served as Product Projects Director in R&D and as Technological Research and Innovation Director at Tofaş. He served as Strategic Management and Business Development Director and Cost Competiveness Director until the end of 2014 when he retired, but he continues to provide consultancy for Tofaş. MEHMET OSMAN SOYOĞUL Production Director Mehmet Osman Soyoğul graduated from the Mechanical Faculty of Istanbul Technical University in 1978 and began his career as an engineer in Tofaş s Production Directorate in that same year. From 1982 to 2003, he served as Press Workshop Manager, Production Assistant Manager, Mounting Production Department Manager and Production Manager.
