24 Defense Guiding Principles: Defense is a controlled attack, always contain, scheme Between 10 yard line to 10 yard line, Contain with Base Defense or use only SS Blitz s. No gambling. Inside 10 yard line throw everything at them with all out blitzes. DE always Box In agressively at play depth, in every scheme including blitzes. Most Blitzes involve 1 position (most agressive ath SS) SS Blitz packages still have full containment SS Blitzs are target at specific sitiuations (ie 3rd & short, etc.) Emphasis on Gang tackling and Separating Ball from Carrier Page 21
