3 The most comprehensive cylinder range Our standard range of cylinders come in direct and indirect patterns, with a comprehensive range of 8 sizes from 90 litres up to 400 litres. With alternative energy in mind, we manufacture a selection of cylinders compatible with solar thermal, heat pump or a combination of both. Where customers have restricted space available, but want the benefits of an unvented stainless steel cylinder, the StainlessLite Slimline range provides the perfect solution. The latest addition to the StainlessLite family is the horizontal cylinder, the only approved domestic horizontal unvented cylinder in the market. 4 Gledhill unvented simply bet The StainlessLite is manufactured from the high specification Duplex stainless steel to resist all forms of corrosion including crevice and stress, whilst its high mechanical strength gives it durability. The very latest automated welding procedures along with onsite post weld pickling and passivating treatment guarantees that the welds are as strong as the parent metal. Our StainlessLite products are pressure tested to a full 12 bar, four times their normal working pressure. We use a corrugated tube heat exchanger, providing high heat transfer and giving 20% faster recovery than plain tube. Being lighter and stronger than plain tubing, the vessel is both lighter and easier to handle. All Gledhill StainlessLite cylinders are manufactured using the very latest HCFC free EnviroFoam insulation. Tests show that the 50mm of EnviroFoam insulation injected into the case and covering both domes achieves astonishingly low levels of heat loss, which in turn provides the homeowner with lower energy bills. 7 A guide to your product selection Calculating the correct sizing of a hot water cylinder is often a headache for installers and homeowners. A simple rule of thumb is that for a typical domestic household, you should allow between 35 and 45 litres for every occupant. The table below provides a guide to the minimum cylinder size required to meet these demands. However, it is not just todays hot water demands that should be satisfied, but also future demands ie additional people, additional outlets etc. Cylinder size considerations Allow for between 35 and 45 litres of hot water per occupant Are there times of high demand at multiple outlets?
