1 PRESS RELEASE 2015 Review and Outlook 13 January 2016 DG/ALB At its annual press conference, Marseille Provence Airport unveiled its 2015 review and the main new developments taking place in % increase in traffic in 2015 plus new and popular scheduled flights In 2015, Marseille Provence Airport recorded renewed growth in traffic (+1%) with 8.26 million passengers. This growth is mainly due to international traffic (+2.3%) as well as the low-cost airline traffic to terminal mp 2 which, once again, achieved a new record this year of 2.2 million passengers (+10%). These increases ease the decline in business for the Air France group and the fall in traffic to Paris following the attacks in November. 2 A further positive indication of the vitality and appeal of our region is the expansion in the number of seats offered by the airlines Air France, British Airways and Brussels Airlines in their respective hubs: Amsterdam 3 flights daily - 18% rise in available seats [Air France] Brussels up to 3 flights daily - 38% rise in available seats [Brussels Airlines] London Heathrow - 3 flights daily - 24% rise in available seats [British Airways] Paris up to 7 flights daily - 14% rise in available seats [Air France] Overall, this means that from this summer nearly 400 additional seats will be available on a daily basis to the major European hubs. The scheduled long-haul routes, such as Montreal, Punta Cana, Dakar, Tananarive and St Denis de la Réunion will delight those travellers looking for a complete change of scene! 2016: a healthy outlook for express freight activity Another reason for the region to feel proud is the fact that Marseille Provence Airport retains its position as the No.1 French regional airport and as the No.1 airport in the Western Mediterranean for express freight activity, handling 46, 600 tonnes - ahead of Rome (35,000 tonnes) and Barcelona (30,000 tonnes) 2016 promises to be a year of strong growth (in the order of 7%) following investments made by partners: Chronopost will double its payload on the Rennes-Marseille route by using planes with larger capacity. DHL, who already saw growth of 12.5% in activity in 2015, should also see spectacular growth in 2016 as a result of its new sorting line. DHL will also open a new Marseille-Algiers route on 18 January which will consolidate Marseille Provence Airport s pole position in the Western Mediterranean. Preparing for the future by equipping the Marseille Provence region with an outstanding infrastructure 2015 will be a year remembered as the first full year for Marseille Provence Airport as a public limited company with an executive and a supervisory board. The board endorsed the CAP 2025 strategic plan for the airport. This lays out in detail a major program of development and modernisation for the airport which aims to offer an outstanding infrastructure to the region in line with its international ambitions. As part of this plan, in June 2015 the airport began work on reconfiguring its network. This 14.5 million project, due to be completed in spring 2017, will provide travellers with a more spacious, landscaped forecourt and more free-flowing access to the various car parks. This project will be followed by the creation of a terminal centre between Halls 1 and 3-4 and by the construction of a new international departure area able to welcome large longhaul aircraft. The mp² low-cost airline terminal will not miss out and will be extended with 2 aircraft stands and 2 additional departure lounges to meet this terminal s growing demand.

3 In the spring, AMP will launch a widespread consultation with the inhabitants of Provence to run alongside these structural projects with the aim of envisaging the airport of the future together, along with its new visual identity. The airport will also strengthen its measures to improve customer satisfaction while the work is being carried out. Particular focus will be placed on the cleanliness of facilities, baggage delays and the quality of services (shops and catering outlets). This will be achieved by using the continuous field surveys completed with 500 customers each quarter based on the International Airport Service Quality Standards of the ACI (Airport Council International). An environmentally responsible airport, committed to sustainable development This is a strong factor in the airport s development plan. As a result, it is implementing a proactive approach aimed at creating conditions of sustainable growth for the resident population from both an environmental and societal point of view. PROTECTING OUR ENVIRONMENT The airport wishes to promote the use of public transport and will develop new infrastructure dedicated to this. A new bus station with 12 bays will be completed in 2017, as well as a loop road reserved for public transport shared with Airbus Helicopters and Vitrolles-AMP station. To encourage travellers to leave their cars behind, Marseille Provence Airport will also be looking to connect via public transport to additional towns. For example, since last December, the Neige express shuttle bus has allowed travellers to connect to the French Alps (Les Orres, Vars, Risoul and Le Queyras). Since 26 December, a new regional express line has also connected Marseille Provence Airport to Carpentras. The airport is aiming to have a quarter of its passengers using public transport to reach its facilities by AMP has created an environmental management system (SME) to support this measure and to structure its approach as regards the impact it makes on the environment. It is also involved on a voluntary basis with the European Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) programme, which evaluates and recognises efforts made by airports to reduce their CO 2 emissions. Marseille Provence Airport was awarded level 1 by the ACA in 2014 and this was maintained in It is aiming to achieve level 2 by the end of AÉROJOBS.FR: ENCOURAGING LOCAL EMPLOYMENT In October 2015, AMP launched the website AéroJobs.fr to promote the access for local residents to airport jobs. By 31 December, after just twelve weeks in operation, the website had posted 66 job opportunities and received 22, 300 visits and 1, 310 applications. This service on the airport s platform will be deployed more broadly amongst businesses in 2016, and the airport will be looking to develop partnerships with employment organisations in the local communities and with schools to outline the various jobs available at the airport. Nearly 200 businesses are present on the airport platform. This represents over 5, 500 jobs and several hundred successful recruitments each year. The economic benefits resulting from the airport s activities and from visitors and tourists coming by air are estimated to be over 4.3 billion.

Thanks to its privileged location and the investments made, the airport welcomes 35 scheduled airlines that serve nearly 100 destinations with direct flights to 25 countries (annual program).
