The Shelter Advocate completes intakes on new residents and completes telephone logs from crisis line calls along with performing routine duties such as laundry, menu planning and grocery shopping, assign and check chores, and inspecting the shelter for safety concerns. The Shelter Advocate will interact with clients who are likely in crisis on a daily basis and will need to use de-escalation, intervention and problem solving skills.
