4 System Localized Magento Edition (eg. Magento DE) has the same system requirements as a normal Magento installation: Operating System Linux x86-64 RAM: min. 256MB (512MB recommended) Webspace: min. 250MB (ascending depending on shop size / product number) Web Server Apache 2.x or Nginx 1.7.x mod_rewrite database MySQL 5.6(Oracle or Percona) PHP PHP 5.4.x or PHP 5.5 required PHP extensions: pdo_mysql SimpleXML, mcrypt, hash, GD, DOM, iconv, curl safe mode: off SSL Optional (but Equipped HTTPS connection (SSL certificate required)

5 Installation preparations recommended: Insert a database Note host, database name, username and password of the database Please inform yourself possibly personalized with your hosting provider which prerequisites & options you have at the moment. Determine a domain / directory, in which the localized Magento Edition should be called Unpack the localized Magento Edition on your web server

6 Installation of the Localized Magento Edition Step 1 - Introduction to the Installation Assistant Please call with your browser to the URL where the source of localized Magento Edition is saved. The following dialogs appear: Read the license agreement and accept this, to continue.

7 Step 2 - Review of the localization of the system Check if your used language, timezone and currency. The Localized Edition selects here already the most likely setting to your local market. Generally these settings should be true, so that you can proceed directly.

8 Step 3 Initial linkage with the database Enter your database connection and other settings. In the upper part of this installation step, enter the settings for the database on which you wrote down in the Installation Preparation. If you have a few databases and be thus gezungen to install Magento with other systems in the same database, so please provide a table prefix (alphanumeric). 11 Step 6 First login Afterwards please go to the admin panel. Please log in into your Localized Magento Edition for the first time. Please fill out the login information, which you have assigned in Step 4 After logging in a Installation Assistant is starting which helps you to set up the legal framework of your Localized Magento Edition. Furthermore, you will be given the opportunity to install often used Magento modules. You can also change your made settings later.

12 Step 7 Setup Wizard 1 of 3 In the first step of the wizard, enter your full company details so that they can be used for the legal framework of your store.

13 Step 8 Setup Wizard 2 of 3 In the next step you can install the system translations of other required languages. Simply mark the corresponding checkbox. Under integrated modules you will find our selection of recommended modules, as part of our Localized Magento Edition to adapt the basic system on your country, language and regulations needed in your market. As an advanced user, you can delete selected modules at this point. We recommend to keep the setting this way. 14 Step 9 Setup Wizard 3 of 3 In the last step you will find some proven, presented selected services / Extensions / Modules of our partners to assist in the successful operation of your future Magento shops. You can now install and configure them. The installation of the modules is absolutely free of charge and without obligation. You go at this point no one or usage commitments already include binding contracts. In order to activate and use of appropriate services, you must contact the relevant partners by yourself. In cooperation with some providers you can receive special conditions for the use of the Localized Magento Edition. Please use the entry from your Magento system. Afterwards you install the selection of the extensions by clicking on "Magento Set-up". Please be patient, this may take a while depending on the selected Extensions!

15 Step 10 - Complete the installation with again, log out / log in The installation and basic configuration of your localized Magento Edition is now complete. It is necessary in Magento that you now once unsubscribe (top right) and log in again to use all the functions correctly.

16 Update an existing localized Magento Edition Use of an update of a localized edition of an existing older version to the current version, please always complete the tar.gz from the packag from the meet-magento.com website. Proceed as follows: 1. Download the latest tar.gz of the localized edition at meet-magento.com 2. Create a backup of your database and your file system 3. Turn the shop offline (create a file "maintenance.flag" without content in Magento root directory) 4. Unzip the tar.gz package 5. Copy all files in the magento directory. Overwrite the existing files. 6. Turn your store back online. (Deleting the file "maintenance.flag" in Magento root directory) 7. Log out from the admin area and then log in again. 8. Empty the Magento cache.
