1 Fall 2015 Preschool Master Plan Fall Year 1 God Created All Things 1 God Created Everything God created the heavens and the earth when there was nothing. God called all things into being with the power of his word. (Genesis 1) Know that God created all things and praise him for what he has made. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1 2 God Created Day and Night God created light and divided it from the darkness, and made day and night. He made the sun, moon and stars to give order to our days. (Genesis 1) Thank God for creating day and night, and the sun, moon and stars. Genesis 1:1 3 God Created Creatures for Water and Sky By his commands, God created and prepared water and sky. God made the first living creatures. God saw it was good. (Genesis 1) Praise God for making water and sky. Praise him for making all kinds of fish to swim in water and birds to fly in the sky. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. Genesis 1:31a 4 God Created the Earth, Plants and Land Animals By his word, God made the land appear. He created vegetation and animal life, designed to flourish according to God s sovereign plan. (Genesis 1) Learn that everything God made is good and that all his works praise him. Genesis 1:31a UNIT 1 The Creation and God s Covenant of Life 5 God Created Man and Woman 6 Tending and Keeping God s World 7 God Set Apart the Seventh Day 8 God s Covenant of Life God created man and woman in his image to enjoy fellowship with him. (Genesis 1 2) God charged Adam and Eve with the task of tending and keeping the land and creatures, giving them opportunity to glorify him through work. (Genesis 1 2) Having completed his creation on the sixth day, God rested on the seventh day, establishing a model for his people to rest from their work on the Sabbath. (Genesis 2; Exodus 20) After creation, God made a sacred covenant with man: God promised life to Adam on the condition that he obey God perfectly, and he threatened to punish Adam with death if he disobeyed God. (Genesis 2) Know that we are created in God s image. Jesus gives his children faith and power to trust and obey him. Begin to learn to what it means to tend and keep God s world wisely. Thank God for the Christian Sabbath as a day set apart for worship, rest and doing good to others. God s covenant children glorify him when they trust and obey him. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his. Psalm 100:3a Psalm 100:3a Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Exodus 20:8 [Jesus said,] You are my friends if you do what I command. John 15:14 9 Sin Spoiled God s Perfect World Adam and Eve disobeyed God and became sinners. Because of their sin, trouble, pain and death entered God s wonderful world. (Genesis 3) To understand that because Adam and Eve sinned, we are all sinners. All wrongdoing is sin. 1 John 5:17a UNIT 2 The Fall and God s Covenant of Grace 10 God Reached Out in Love 11 God Sent the Savior 12 God s Plan for His New Creation 13 God Our Creator Is Faithful Although Adam and Eve sinned against God, he did not stop loving them. Even while declaring his judgment against sin, God revealed a merciful plan to reconcile sinners to himself. (Genesis 3) God s promise of a Savior who would suffer and die in the place of sinners was fulfilled in Jesus. (Genesis 3; Romans 5; 1 John 3) God will one day restore his people and his creation to himself, with Jesus ruling as king. (Isaiah 65; 2 Corinthians 5; Revelation 21) The Lord our Creator is faithful to his covenant people, and because of his grace and mercy, we respond in loving service. (Psalm 100) God promised to send a Savior who would pay for Adam and Eve s sin, and our sin. Jesus came to earth and died on the cross to pay for our sins. Know that one day God will give his people a wonderful home in the new heavens and the new earth. Praise God for his creation, salvation and faithful care. 2 Winter 2015 Preschool Master Plan Winter Year 1 Jesus Is God s Son 1 God Sends John Through God s angel, Zechariah learned that he and Elizabeth would have a son. John was born to get God s people ready for the Savior. (Luke 1) Learn that God sent John to get God s people ready for the promised Savior. Praise be to the Lord. Luke 1:68a UNIT 1 The Birth of Jesus 2 Mary Hears and Believes the Good News 3 Jesus Is Born The angel announced to Mary that the baby she would bear would be Jesus, God s own Son, the promised Savior. Mary believed and praised God. (Luke 1) God s Son, Jesus, was born in Bethlehem as a baby who would grow up to save God s people from their sins. (Luke 2) Praise God for sending his Son as a baby. God s power kept Jesus safe to grow up and do the work God planned for him. (Matthew 2) God guides and protects his servants. And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. (Luke 17) Jesus welcomed the children and blessed them. (Matthew 19; Mark 10; Luke 18) Jesus reached out to Zacchaeus and saved him, and Zacchaeus showed that his heart was changed. (Exodus 1 2) God called Moses and prepared him to bring God s people, the Israelites, out of Egypt. (Exodus 3 4) Even though cruel Pharaoh said he would not let Israel go, God promised to use his mighty power to free his people. (Exodus 4 6) God takes care of us. God calls us and makes us ready to serve him. God is with us all the time and has promised to save and help us. The Lord... cares for those who trust in him. 7 Spring 2017 Preschool Master Plan Spring Year 2 Jesus Is God UNIT 1 God s Son Shows His Power over Creation 1 Jesus Changes Water to Wine 2 Jesus Calms the Storm 3 Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand 4 Jesus Heals a Man at the Pool When Jesus showed his glory by changing water to wine, the disciples put their faith in him. (John 2) By calming the storm, Jesus showed that he is Lord over creation and that he is the Son of God. (Mark 4; see also Matt. 8 and Luke 8) Jesus cared for the crowd s spiritual and physical hunger by teaching them God s Word and miraculously feeding them all. (Mark 6; see also Matt. 14, Luke 9 and John 6) God the Son heals a lame man and tells him to stop sinning. (John 5) We will put our trust in Jesus, our powerful Savior. Jesus teaches us to trust him to take care of us all the time. Jesus, our loving Savior, provides for all our needs. Only God can make sick people well. 8 Summer 2017 Preschool Master Plan Summer Year 2 Serving the Savior 1 Following Jesus Peter was sorry that he denied Jesus. Jesus forgave him, and told Peter to follow him. (Matthew 26; John 21) Jesus tells us to follow him. Jesus said... Follow me! (Acts 13 14) Even while imprisoned, Paul and Silas were faithful witnesses and the jailer and his family were saved. (Acts 16, 40) The Holy Spirit gives us opportunities to spread the good news of Jesus. The Holy Spirit gives God s servants what they need to preach the good news. We can trust God to help us serve him faithfully, even when it is hard to do so. Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved you and your household.
