2 OWA mineral tiles OWA mineral tiles are manufactured in Germany. They stand for the highest quality and performance in connection with noise insulation, noise level reduction, thermal insulation and fi re safety. OWA mineral tiles are available with many surfaces and different installation systems, and are therefore suitable for ceiling systems in offi ces and call centres as well as in restaurants, hospitals, hotels, shops, stadiums or educational facilities.

8 OWA mineral tiles OWA mineral tiles are made of pure, biodegradable mineral wool and other natural components. They are free of formaldehyde and other harmful substances and pose no threat to the environment or your health. OWA mineral tiles comply with international requirements regarding with sustainability and quality. Our products have been certifi ed with the BLUE ANGEL and by the following institutes: EPA, RAL and TÜV. OWA mineral tiles can even be recommended for highly sensitive areas such as hospitals, day care centres and schools, for example. OWA mineral tiles provide a high level of safety. They have outstanding fungus and bacteriainhibiting properties, and also have an impressively high resistance to fi re. The tiles are classifi ed as non-fl ammable according to the strict safety standards in Europe, the United States (ASTM E8-97) and Brazil (NBR-92). OWA mineral tiles are installed with the OWA construction system. Benefi t: These construction systems are optimised, especially in a fi re protection context. Result: In accordance with standards DIN 02 and EN 50-2, OWA ceiling systems can withstand fi re for up to 20 minutes. OWA ceiling systems therefore form a very safe ceiling cover for a great variety of structural designs. OWA mineral tiles have good strength, thanks to their high density. This reduces the breakage rates during transport, storage and installation.
