What is Screwfinder? What does it do? Screwfinder is a magnetic hand tool, which helps you to take down wallboards in one piece with a minimal of effort and cleaning. It locates the hidden screws and thus the studs, beams and girders covered by the wallboards, wallpaper, paint or plaster.

2 Preparing a work area with plastic sheets and tape In the past, extensive protection of the work area was necessary Now with the Screwfinder the whole wallboard can be taken down in one piece, with a minimal of dust as a result. No need for time consuming extensive protection of the work area.

3 Taking down a Drywall / Tearing down plasterboards In the past when tearing down a drywall you broke up the plasterboard in little peices. Using a crowbar and saw, there was plaster dust everywhere. The craftsmanʼs shoulders and back got a good workout. 6 Plasterwall anchors In the past when mounting kitchen cabinets, flat screen TVʼs, paintings, etc, it was hard to know where the construction studs/beams were in order to place the anchors correctly. The wall anchor canʼt be positioned to close to a stud for it to work properly. -Now with Screwfinder you find the hidden screws, where the screw is fastened is where the stud is located, it couldnʼt be easier.

7 Work environment In the past when tearing down drywalls there was plaster dust everywhere. The craftsman had to wear protective masks, put up plastic, use aircleaner/dust traps. 8 Reusing original material In the past it was necessary to tear down a dry wall or wallboard in order to determine water damage, and then a new wall board had to be put up. -Now with the Screwfinder the craftsman can salvage the wallboard and put it back in place again.

9 Reusing the Wallboard In the past the wallboard had to be torn down with a crowbar/saw and it was not salvageable. -Now with the Screwfinder the wallboard can be salvaged and reused.

10 Sorting of construction waste and Recycling In the past, when tearing down wallboards there was a pile of rubble containing metalwaste, wood, plastic etc. that needed to be manually sorted before disposal in separate waste containers. -Now with Screwfinder the craftsman dissasembles and separates the materials from each other at the same time.

11 Find access panels In the past the craftsman had a hard time finding access panels -Now with Screwfinder the magnet easily finds the hidden access panels How it works Screwfinder works with a magnet, drag the tool with the magnet end lightly against the wall until you can feel the magnet grab onto a screw. Gently tap the top of the screwfinder to mark/free the screws head. Follow the beam/frame until you have marked all the screwheads. Use a screwdriver to unscrew all screws.
