4 gree students, main academic areas Data Page 4/6 Re 3: Evaluations 3.1. Evaluations, spring Response rates, spring 2014 The SB discussed possible ways to ensure an appropriate evaluation follow-up; it was decided that lecturers should receive a link to an evaluation response overview, and that the head of department will be asked to endorse an initiative where lecturers will be requested to provide the SB with a written comment in courses with conspicuous evaluation results. In general, the SB agreed that evaluations are an important tool to improve student satisfaction and the quality of the programmes. Re 4: Study environment survey 2014, qualitative comments Soc. Oecon. A recurring comment is that student conditions have deteriorated since the relocation to Fuglesangs Allé. Classrooms are insufficiently equipped and the lack of study rooms is a source of frustration; the student members of the SB promised that the Oeconrådet will inform students of the location of study rooms, and the SB decided that the Oeconrådet should ask the dean to consider the issue in a letter written on behalf of the SB. Several respondents express a lack of academic affiliation with HA and merc-students; when the dep. of economics and management was located in the university park, the physical proximity to students enrolled in other social studies programmes (social sciences and law) was found both socially and academically rewarding. Notwithstanding the overall negative comments of the study environment survey, the SB found confidence in the fact some of the initiatives to improve the conditions of the soc students have not yet taken effect and thus have not been incorporated in the student feedback. Re 5: Revision of guidelines for credit transfer 5.1. Background (correspondence with Educational Legis lation Advisory Service - UJS) 5.2. Proposal for revision
5 The SB decided to request further information from UJS before rejecting the present guidelines. Follow-up at the upcoming meeting in November. Page 5/6 Re 6: Course description for approval: Scientific Methods Approved. Re 7: Exemptions: please go to the menu option Exemptions to the left (this item will be discussed behind closed doors) Re 8: General information 8.1. Memorandum regarding unemployment statistical da ta 8.2. Data basis, gross unemployment statistics 8.3. Level of unemployment (main data) 8.4. Overview, unemployment data 8.5. Memorandum regarding dimensioning, Universities Denmark 8.6. Revision of ma. degree programmes, BSS (revised) 8.7. (4201) Organizational Change and Development: course cancelled due to staffing issue Business: revised course plan for approval 8.8. Admission to MA programmes: transitional rules re garding equivalent educational qualifications 8.9. Study group market place (Political Science) 8.10.Student members of boards etc.: rules regarding exam deregistration Re : Given the fact that the dimensioning is determined by the responsible minister, the figures are of little significance. Re 8.7: The SB expressed its regrets at having to cancel the course; a discussion about recruitment principles concluded with the SB deciding that the DoS should approach the head of department to express the need for an enhanced focus on the areas of business and accounting. Re 8.7.1: Approved. Re 8.9: The student counsellors are working to implement a similar initiative. Oecon and soc students with associated academic interests may be paired up. Re 9: Other business, if any Student information meetings about the study progress reform will be held
6 in November and January respectively. Page 6/6 Jonas Carlsen replaces Christoffer Strandby Christensen as member of the SB as of November Re 10: Next meeting A doodle will be sent out after which the date will be announced.
