2 SYMPOSIUM DESCRIPTION The International Ultmann Chicago Lymphoma Symposium (IUCLS) is an annual conference dedicated solely to the science and clinical care of lymphoma. It has been organized to honor the achievements of Dr. John Ultmann, a pioneer in the treatment of lymphoma, who devoted his life to the understanding of this disease. He was particularly known for his work on the staging of Hodgkin lymphoma and the utility of staging as a guide for treatment. We are fortunate to have a multitude of the world s experts in lymphoma speak each year at the conference. The audience is comprised of regional practicing oncologists, advanced nurse practitioners and physician assistants, residents, fellows, and the Chicago academic community that includes five academic centers. This year s program in May 2016 represents the 13th IUCLS. This is a certified continuing medical education (CME) activity that focuses on the biologic, diagnostic, and therapeutic aspects of Hodgkin and non-hodgkin lymphomas. The format of the meeting includes a combination of expert presentations, interactive case discussions, poster/abstract presentations, and an opportunity for question-and-answer debates. The IUCLS is a two-day meeting held Friday afternoon and Saturday morning and early afternoon at the W Chicago City Center hotel. Friday afternoon concentrates on the scientific and translational aspects of lymphoma, while Saturday has a clinical focus. LEARNING OBJECTIVES At the conclusion of this educational activity, participants will be able to: Recognize important targets in Waldenström macroglobulinemia that impact treatment Describe the 2016 WHO criteria for lymphoma Identify new diagnostics platforms that can be utilized in the treatment of DLBCL Implement current treatment strategies in Hodgkin lymphoma at various stages and in special populations Discuss the current allogeneic stem cell transplant options in lymphoma Learn how biologic insights may improve treatment of cutaneous t-cell lymphomas Please join us for what promises to be an informative and thought-provoking conference! CALL FOR ABSTRACTS Abstract submissions are now being accepted! The abstract submission deadline is Tuesday, April 5, Additional information at chicagolymphoma.com/call-for-abstracts/.
