2 Game 1 - The Elephant Builder For one player of age 4 and older Have you built an elephant before? Now you may try. Just pour all 36 tiles out of the box and you will see that you can use them to build very different elephants. Pick 9 different tiles and join them in a way that they show an elephant. There are 512 different elephants which you can build with these tiles! Try to build a complete Indian elephant like on the image above. When you afterwords turn the tiles correctly, an African elephant appears. Have you seen enough of these Indian and African elephants now? Then pick one of the elephant cards and match the shown elephant with the tiles. And you may think of your own elephants as well, of course. Game 2 - Elephant Bazar For 2-4 players of age 5 and older Goal of the game: Trade tiles with your fellow players or turn your tiles and build the elephants your elephant card shows. Preparations: Everybody puts an arbitrary wooden elephant out of 9 tiles in front of himself. Now you shuffle the cards and stack them upside down in the middle. Then everybody takes an elephant card from the stack in to your hand without showing it to fellow players. Gameplay: The one with the biggest ears my start. Afterwards the players take turns in clockwise order. When it is your turn you compare your card to the elephant in front of you. By trading the right tiles with your fellow players you try to match the elephant on your card.

3 On the left: your card; on the right: your wooden elephant If your card shows the head of your elephant next to the moon, for example, but your wooden elephant shows a sun next to your elephant s head, you ask Who is going to give me a moon? Somebody, who has a moon in front of himself and needs a sun, will trade tiles with you. When there are several players who want to trade with you, you may pick one of them. You may trade additional tiles until you do not find another partner for trading. If nobody trades with you anymore, because nobody has the requested tile or nobody wants to trade anymore, you may turn the tile you offered for trading to end your turn. As soon as you have matched your elephant card you shout: Ready! Then you show your card to your fellow players and put it next to you as your reward. Now you draw another card right away to end your turn.

4 On the left: Your wooden elephant now looks just like your card. Therefore, you may put this card aside next to you. Then you draw another card. On the right: your new card Your fellow players now may choose, if they want to keep their own card or if they want to draw another card from the stack. The ones who draw another card, put the former one under the stack. If you shout Ready, but your wooden elephant does not match your elephant card, you need to take the elephant card back into your hand and the game continues with your neighbour to the left. End of Game and Winner: The player wins who is the first to put 4 cards aside. It is possible that two players win at the same time. It is possible that your wooden elephant looks like your card, although it is not your turn currently. This may happen, for exammple, when a player during his turn trades tiles with you. In this case as well, you may put your elephant card aside and draw another card from the stack. Your trading partner then continues with his turn.

5 Game 3 - Elephant Race for 2-4 players of age 5 and older Goal of the Game: Turn the tiles of your wooden elephant in a way that it matches with the elephant on the open card and be quicker then your fellow players. Preparations: Everybody builds an arbitrary elephant from 9 tiles. Then you shuffle the elephant cards and stack them upside down in the middle. Gameplay: One of you turns around the top card. Then you try as quickly as possible to match the elephant shown on the open card with your own tiles. When you are the first to manage this, you hit with your hand on the

6 open elephant card. As a reward you get the card and put it in front of you. On the left: the open card On the right: your wooden elephant; only when the tiles of your wooden elephant lie in the correct orientation, you get the reward. In this example the ear and the trunk do not lie correctly. If you hit the card, although your wooden elephant does not really match the elephant on the card, you do not get the card, but put it under the stack. All your fellow players, however, may take a card from the stack and put it in front of themselves. Now the next card is turned open and another round starts. End of Game and Winner: The player wins who is the first to collect 8 cards.

7 Game 4 - Our favorite Elephant For 2-6 players of age 5 and older Goal of the Game: One after another defines the attributes of his or her favorite elephant. Then everybody tries until the end of the round to keep as many cards with these attributes as possible in his or her hands. Preparations: You put the empty wooden box upside down in the middle as a depot. In front of it you put a completely and correctly assembled wooden elephant. All the other tiles lie next to it. Then you shuffle the elephant

8 cards and distribute them evenly. Spieleranzahl Karten pro Spieler When there are two, three or four players, everybody gets 8 cards, in case of 5 players everybody receives 6 cards and in a 6-Player-Game everybody gets 5 cards. Afterwards everbody takes his cards and has a look at them. On the left: Your favorite elephant has a sun, a snake and a covered back. In the middle: You have to put these cards on the disposal stack, because they lack a snake or a sun or the back is not covered.

9 On the right: You may keep these cards in your hands. Gameplay: You take turns playing. The one starts who is most afraid of mice. When it is your turn, you inspect your cards thoroughly. When you, for example, have a lot of cards with a sun, you may say: Our favorite elephant has a sun. Then you take from the wooden elephant in front of the box the tile with the head and put it with the sun visible into the upper right corner. Every player, including yourself, inspects his cards again and has to put all cards which do not show a sun on a common stack for disposal. Now it is the next player s turn who says for example. Our favorite elephant has a snake in the lower left corner (and he puts the tile with the snake on the wooden box). Again all check their cards and dispose the cards without a snake. Everybody who does not have any cards left, skips this round. The others continue playing until only one player still has cards. This player as a reward gets just as much tiles from the supply as he kept cards in his hands, but a maximum of three. The tiles on the box are meant to check if the cards which the winner kept really bear all the attributes of your favorite elephant. If not all of the attributes match, the player does not receive a reward. Instead, every player who was eliminated from the game before gets an elephant tile from the supply. The wooden elephant in front of the box now is assembled again. The cards are shuffled and distributed again. Then the next round starts with the left neighbour of the starting player of the previous round. End of Game and Winner: The one wins who is the first to collect 5 wooden tiles.
