3 Professional Bachelor Degree in Nursing Denmark offers a 3.5-year bachelor programme in nursing equivalent to 210 ECTS Charateristics: Each academic year lasts 40 weeks 7 semesters in total 30 page bachelor project 10-week modules comprising both theoretical and clincial education

4 Background for my work and presentation Before 2020, at least 20% of all graduates from higher education programmes should take part in an exchange or international placement programme In Denmark, this has led to an increased demand for and focus on internationalisation in the nursing education programme.

6 Internationalisation at Home A concept that focuses on international activities at our own institution. Offering nursing professional courses/modules taught in English where the target group is both foreign and Danish students Using English-language primary literature in the education Planning teaching sessions with guest lecturers from our partner institutions

Internal seminars for the lecturers: Which demands must be made to future lecturers at the nusing education programme when internationalisation is a goal? Being a lecturer with an international profile a special category A competence ladder is made to visualise the necessary competences International profile is part of an individual competence profile Education plan to obtain more international competences Allocating time for competence development Salary bonus English courses Study visits lasting 1-3 weeks

Participation in international professional networks 15-20% give presentations at conference annually Offering teaching at our nursing courses/modules taught in English Involvement in connection with visits from abroad 1-2 lecturers are involved in international projects or research Publishing articles 1-2 lecturers each year Creating network for lecturers with master/phd degrees Etablishing PhD programmes in collaboration with international counsellors
