CHRIS BIRD TECHNICAL DIRECTOR, CENTRICA ENERGY Delivering World Class Project Performance Chis will present his successful experience of driving project performance and setting a benchmark for the industry to follow. He will link high performance models with some of Centrica's Energy developments, and also highlight the differences between small independents and majors in their approach. Chris has a long career in the progress and energy sectors running in businesses, operations and capital projects with an excellent track record. He is leading the implementation of best practice project management at Centrica Energy and is responsible for a 1 Billion per annum budget covering a wide variety of projects.

Czech PRT in Afghanistan and Project Management in a Highly difficult Environment Libor will discuss the The Czech Republic s Provincial Reconstruction Team s (PRT) workings in the Logar province in the East of Afghanistan. Libor served as the security sector expert in Logar (Afghanistan) within the civilian team in and took part in the initial phase of PRT s project development. Libor is a researcher and security expert within CESES (Charles University) and has taken part in several international security research projects. CHRISTOPHE BORLAT CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, GENIUS INSIDE (SWITZERLAND) Project Management Tools & Techniques Christophe will focus on the relationship of project management and software applications and its specifics. Christophe co-founded Genius Inside in 1997 and since 2002, his focus has shifted towards business development sales and marketing. His responsibilities currently include new and enhanced product features, analysis of market trends, managing sales activities and relationships with partners.

Simon is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with a degree in Nuclear Engineering from Manchester University and a Masters in Business Administration from Cranfield University. He has over fifteen years practical decommissioning experience in the nuclear decommissioning sector. MIREK TOPOLANEK CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER VAE CONTROLS GROUP, CEZ Mirek will present on the best practice in project management from his perspective, drawing on his experiences gained as both a politician and a manager in energy sector. Mirek graduated from Brno University of Technology, he is the former Prime Minister of the Czech republic and former chairman of the Civic Democratic Party. He was prime minister during the Czech EU presidency in 2009 focusing on the Eastern Partnership project and energy security of Europe.
