SHOOTING EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES The 31 st WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN By mutual agreement between the Fitasc and the organiser, the shooting facilities are defined as follows: 6 regulatory Universal Trench installations, with recognised brand launchers Promatic and Elfipa electronic scoreboards in each range and main building to enable the competition to proceed smoothly, unless the technical committee decides otherwise. The launchers are reliable and in perfecting working order. All the facilities are capable of operating at the same time without interfering in any way with the others. The triggering system is electronic (sonopull) and ensure perfect fairness between the shooters. The personnel, including pullers, are qualified and sufficient in number to avoid any hold-ups that might endanger the smooth running of the competition. A mechanics of the producer or the importer, and an electrician, both completely familiar with the equipment, is present at the stand in order to intervene immediately in the event of a launcher breakdown and it will be everything ensure that there will be no shooting delays. It is essential arranged for sufficient replacement equipment in the event of a breakdown or breakage (launcher, arm, etc). Enough cleaning rods and oil will be put at the disposal of shooters free of charge. Seven days before the beginning of the championship, the President of the technical commission gives to the President of the organising Federation the shooting schemes which will be used for the championship. The Jury, including the present members of the technical commission, checks the adjustments the day before the championship. 6. RANGE The range, Shooting center Gaj, is situated close to city Maribor known as an European capitol of culture 2012, 49 years as a organizer of Ski world cup and many others sport and cultural events. It is located among the greenery of the Štajerska region with the panoramic view to the Pohorje hills and it is just 10 km away from Maribor. Gaj Shooting Center is one of the largest facilities in the 300 square miles. 7. FIRST AID A first aid team will be present throughout the competition, including the practice sessions, ready to intervene if necessary. A list of the hospitals in the area, with their addresses, will be be available at the club and be distributed to all the referees. 31 ST WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

4 8. ENTRY PROCEDURE 8.1. GENERAL All shooters must enter and pay their entry fees via the Fitasc s website ( as must all national teams, though they may be entered solely by their home federations. All shooters taking part in international competition under the Fitasc s auspices must have a licence issued by the Fitasc member federation in the country of their nationality. Any shooters domiciled in a country other than their nationality holding solely a licence issued by the Fitasc member federation of their country of residence will not be entitled to take part in international competitions under their nationality. National federations have to check whether the entrants via the Fitasc site comply with these rules. Any shooters with dual nationality, must, when registering their first entry, choose the nationality for which they are entered (and must shoot under this nationality for the following three years) and have a licence issued by the Fitasc member federation of the chosen country CATEGORIES Juniors are authorised to take part in championships held under the auspices of the Fitasc from 13 years of age except in the case of a special waiver. Juniors become seniors from the start of the year when they reach their 21st birthday, seniors become veterans from the start of the year when they reach their 56th birthday and veterans become super-veterans from the start of the year when they reach their 66 th birthday, e.g. for competitions on any date in 2013: Juniors: born between 1st January 1993 and 31st December 1999 Seniors: born between 1st January 1958 and 31st December 1992 Veterans: born between 1st January 1948 and 31st December 1957 Super-veterans: born before 1st January ENTRY FEES The entry fees for the 31st World Championship of Universal Trench will be as follows: Category Entry fee Seniors, Veterans, Super veterans and Ladies 210,00 Juniors 126,00 National teams 95, ENTRY FORMS Entry form is at the end of this document. 31 ST WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

AWARDS PRIZE RANKING The individual ranking will be established and announced in this order at the prize awards: Super-veterans Veterans Juniors Ladies Open (all categories) The title of Super-veteran World champion is awarded to the first shooter in the order of the classification Super-veteran. The title of Veteran World champion is awarded to the first shooter in the order of the classification Veteran. The title of Junior World champion is awarded to the first shooter in the order of the classification Junior. The title of Lady World champion is awarded to the first lady in the order of the classification Lady. The title of World champion is awarded to the first shooter in the order of the classification open. SHOOTING PROCEDURE PRACTICE A sufficient number of practice positions to meet demand will be ready for shooters on the Tuesday before the competition. The practice sessions are open during the same hours as scheduled for the championship. The practice positions will be set on the same shooting schemes as used for the championship. The practice charge is set at 7 per series of 25 clays. Practice ticket sales will be organised at a fixed site, managed by a sufficient number of sales assistants to avoid long queues. Unused practice tickets will be refunded SHOOT OFFS The shoot-offs for the first 3 (three) individual places in the open ranking and in each category take place in a series of 25 clays. In the event of a tie, a new shoot-off will be held on a second series. The first eliminatory zero will decide between the shooters, the same number of clays having been shot by each of the shoot-off participants with only one cartridge per clay. The shooters will be placed as for a 25 target series, and will shoot with only one cartridge per clay. The launcher of the target and the shooting position will be different from one shooter to another. Shooters finishing below third place with the same scores are ranked as equals, by counting back the squads (from stand 8 to stand 1). Where the top three in the open ranking are in the same category, the ranking shoot-off in the category will also determine the open ranking. If they are in different categories, a shoot off will be held under the same condition as for the category ranking. No shoot-off is held between national teams. The total result of each team on the eighth stand, then the seventh one, etc, is used to rank teams with equal scores. 31 ST WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

JURY AND APPEAL JURY JURY In accordance with the international rules, a jury formed by the following must be set up at the start of the competition: - those members of the Fitasc Management Committee and the technical commission that are present; - a representative from each country entering a senior national team. The jury is chaired by the President of the organising federation or his/her representative. It will settle any disputes arising during the competition. Each jury member must wear a name badge for recognition purposes. The Jury, including the present members of the technical commission, checks the adjustments the day before the championship. Participants protests to the jury must be accompanied by a deposit of 60% of the senior entry fee rounded down to the nearest ten, which will be returned to the complainant if the protest is accepted. If the jury is forced to interrupt shooting for reasons of force majeure before the series under way has been completed, the competition must resume at the point where it was interrupted, with all existing results applying. If, due to a case of force majeure, a competition cannot take place with the initially scheduled number of clays, the jury may determine the number of clays necessary to award the title. If the jury considers that the organizers are at fault for the competition not taking place with the scheduled number of clays, they must reimburse the participants for the clays not shot at the practice series rate. If the jury considers that the reason for the competition not taking place with the scheduled number of clays is outside the organisers control (storm, lightning, heavy rain, etc), no reimbursement will be made APPEAL JURY If a jury decision is disputed by a shooter or by the Fitasc, an appeal jury will be formed by: the President of the Fitasc or his representative; the President of the discipline s technical committee or his/her representative; the President of the organising federation or his/her representative. This appeal jury will be created at the same time as the jury. No jury member may belong to the appeal jury under any circumstances. 31 ST WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

AMMUNITION SUPLY The organizers of championship will have for sale, in sufficient quantities, following brands of cartridges: BASCHIERI & PELLAGRI CLEVER FIOCCHI RC Cartridge sales will be organised at a fixed site, managed by a sufficient number of sales assistants to avoid long queues. 16. HOW TO GET TO SHOOTING CENTER GAJ Shooting center Gaj can be reached: by car: highway from Vienna, Trieste, Budapest, Zagreb by plane: Airports Ljubljana, Graz, Vienna, Zagreb, Trieste by train: Railway station in Maribor is connected with most European capitols directly or indirectly 17. LATE ENTRIES Late entries can only be allowed according to the FITASC rules. Any Federation reducing the number of shooters/ or officials after the final entry deadline must pay all the applicable fees and costs including the entry fees according to the number of shooters and entries as indicated on the final entry forms originally received by the Organising Committee. If the applicable fees and costs are not paid, then no shooter of that Federation may participate in the Championship. 18. GUNS AND AMMUNITION All information about shooters Guns and Ammunition must be declared and sent not later than Please submit the form fully completed and signed and stamped by the Federation. Please do not change the forms and do not use other forms. Incomplete or incorrect Forms will be returned, unprocessed. 19. VISAS Entry Visas for participants who require them will be issued according to the procedures required by the State of Slovenia. 20. In the shooting range will be no exchange possible. Clinic opens daily during the competition from 08:00 19:00.
