Protégé Program Extern Program: A working education that opens the door of opportunity to a career in Parelli at many levels. As an Extern 20% of your education is horsemanship where you can play with your horse, attend certain lectures and demonstrations, receive coaching from Interns and higher; and 80% is learned on the workforce involving facility maintenance, ranch work, food service, administration, check-in and check-out of students, course logistics assistant, etc. 3 month module: $3000 (price valid until April 1, 2009) Min. criteria: Official Level 2. Ideal profile: Dedicated, wants to learn what it takes to operate the Parelli Center on a day-to-day basis and is willing to do anything to just be there! Bring your own horse. Outstanding performance at the Extern level may lead to acceptance into the Intern Program. Intern Program: A working education that opens the door of opportunity to a career in Parelli at many levels especially involving horsemanship such as Parelli Professional, Parelli Faculty, Pat s Performance Barn, Horse Care / Husbandry & stock management. As an Intern 40% of your education is horsemanship from Senior Interns, Proteges and Faculty, and 60% is an internship on the workforce involving natural horse care, stock management, and faculty assistant. The successful graduate will also enter the Parelli Professionals Training Course 1. 6 month module: $6000 (price valid until April 1, 2009) Min. criteria: Official Level 2. Level 3 preferred. Ideal profile: Dedicated, moderately to highly talented with horses and ambitious. Instead of bringing your own horse, you will be playing with Parelli horses. Senior Intern Program: A high level working education open to graduates of the Intern Program and Parelli Professionals or graduates of Levels 3 and 4. This position offers 60% horsemanship time with coaching from Protégés and Faculty, and 40% work experience in areas such as R&D with Linda and Pat Parelli, Pat s Performance Barn, Faculty Assistant, stock management, sales and marketing, tour team, Super Savvy Team, competitions, etc. and covering a wide range of horsemanship subjects from colt starting to stallion management and collection, driving horses, horse health, biomechanics and farriery, advanced Four Savvys, etc. plus Parelli Professionals Training Course 1. Students who excel have strong international Parelli career opportunities such as Faculty, 3-Star Instructor, corporate position ranch or corporate headquarters (admin, sales, marketing, IT, media, graphics, product development, etc.) 12 month module: $12,500 (price valid until April 1, 2009) Min. criteria: Level 3 Ideal profile: Dedicated, talented with horses and with people, ambitious, high achiever. 1

3 Parelli Protégé: The most talented and dedicated Interns or students will be invited to apply for the Protégé Program. In this position you are involved in developing Pat s future super horses and actively involved in the Parelli Centers as Junior Faculty. Your training is at a much higher level, as is the expectation of your performance. Very few students will make it into this program. It is the closest you will be to Linda & Pat Parelli and top Parelli management to learn at the highest levels. Students who excel as a protégé have strong Parelli career opportunities such as Senior Faculty, Assistant Trainer to Pat Parelli, Parelli Center Foreman, 4 or 5-Star Parelli Professional, or a corporate position with management options or international placement. 24 month module: $50,000 per year for two years. (price valid until April 1, 2009) Min. Criteria: Completion of Senior Intern program. Ideal Profile: Dedicated, highly talented (in horsemanship / speaking / presentations / management / communications, etc.) ambitious, high achiever, management or sales experience First intake is January 5, 2009 Places are extremely limited. 2

5 Application Process In order to apply for the Parelli Apprentice Program you must at minimum: Be a Savvy Club Member for one year or more. Have completed a 4 week masterclass or 6 week module at a Parelli Center prior to Be an Official Level 2 Graduate. Be 18 years or older. Application steps: 1. Complete Apprentice Program application form. 2. Include 7-10 minute video / DVD / youtube link / of you with your horse, show us what you can do, and please introduce yourself at the beginning with a few words about why you wish to apply for the Apprentice Program and what your dream career with Parelli is. Note: A live audition will be required in addition for Senior Intern & Protégé program and above. 3. Attach a current resume. 4. OTHER NOTES Inclusions/Exclusions Program fees include: Horse board for one horse (for Externs) Meals when served at the cafeteria (dinners and weekends are not serviced) Program fees exclude: Housing Travel expenses (unless required on tour) Board for extra horses Horsemanship can mean some or all of the following depending on the level of program you are enrolled in attend pertinent lectures and demonstrations, time with your horse or your assigned horses, and coaching from faculty, senior interns, protégés. Work Experience means you are learning and performing a task or a job that is necessary for the operation of Parelli at any level, on the facility, with horses, without horses or at the corporate offices depending on the program you are enrolled in.
