2 gdańsk convention bureau (gcb) Gdańsk Convention Bureau (ICCA Member) was founded in 2005 as a congress bureau representing local service providers with special interest in business tourism: venues, hotels, travel agencies, etc. Gdańsk Convention Bureau s primary objective is to promote Gdańsk & Region as top conference destination in the international and domestic arena. GCB encourages meeting planners to consider Gdańsk as a host city for their events. HOW GDAŃSK CONVENTION BUREAU CAN COMPLIMENTARY SUPPORT YOUR EVENT? Assist you in the choice of hotels, conference venues and other services (we have the up-to-date database of all service providers). Preliminary booking of hotels and conference venues. Assist you in gaining the Official Carrier (airline) for your event + discounted fares. Arrange site inspections. Arrange networking opportunities with regional authorities. Arrange Tourist Information Desk during the conference (upon availability, events > 300 pax). Arrange Welcome Desks at the airport (upon availability, events > 300 pax). Free help of our Volunteers during the event (in cooperation with Regional Volunteer Centre in Gdańsk). Special prices for Tourist Card for event participants. 6 GCBeVENT App GCBeVENT is the innovative smartphone app designed for any kind of the event (congress, conference, workshop, exhibition, city game, etc) held in Gdańsk & Region. The app is free of charge. GCBeVENT app is available on all operating systems: ios (iphone), Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone. App is available in Polish and English language version. The app allows delegates to communicate before, during and after the event. They will receive all the information about the event in the mobile app. Information are uploaded by event organizers. Each delegate has their own profile. They can check detailed and updated agenda with the possibility to personalize the programme (choose their own path from parallel sessions), they see urgent changes in the agenda, information on workshops and keyspeakers, they are able to make notes and download their briefcase to address provided during registration. Guests can communicate with each other through message section and post information on social media, that will automatically appear in the app. Sponsors and organizers have extra possibilities to promote themselves through quizzes and public wall. The only requirement is the WIFI, that venues offer free of charge.
