2 Adviser Charges applicable on Tax Relief for Uncrystallised SIPPS Qualifying single and regular contributions paid by an investor are made net of basic rate tax (20%). To display this information online, the existing Fees and Charges screen has been amended. Where single and/or regular contributions paid into a SIPP have been captured during the New Business, New Wrapper or Top-Up journeys then the charge is broken down between Employer, Investor and Tax Relief components. Where charges are taken using Percentage: Where charges are taken using Amount: Tax relief is only applicable on Investors below the age of 75. For any investors above this age, the following Task Information message is displayed:

3 When the user has ticked the Immediate PCLS box, then the contribution amounts now displayed are the actual contribution less PCLS as Novia pays charges after the deduction of PCLS: Message is displayed in the Task Information confirming this: Adviser Ad-Hoc Charges A requirement to control the maximum ad-hoc Adviser Charge that can be deducted from a wrapper based upon the product s configuration. An online validation will restrict the nominated ad-hoc Adviser Charge so it will not exceed the maximum configured for the product. The default value for each product wrapper is as follows: Cash ISA Up to 2% Stocks and Shares ISA Up to 2% Offshore Bond Up to 2% GIA Net No validation GIA Gross Up to 2% SIPP Uncrystallised Up to 2% SIPP Drawdown Up to 2%

4 Ad-Hoc Adviser Charges is accessed under the Transaction Tools in the Wrapper Summary screen for the selected investor: The user can enter the charge as an amount or percentage value: Preventing Lost Data The aim of this enhancement is to ensure that users do not lose any transfer, investment or reregistration details when they click Next to continue the online journey before having saved the input. Currently if Next is clicked on any of the affected screens the journey moves immediately to the next screen, and any data that has been entered but not added/saved will be lost. This will cover the following data entered on New Business, New Wrapper and Top-Up journeys: ISA Transfers SIPP Transfers Single Investments Regular Investments ISA Re-Registration GIA Re-Registration The user will now be presented with an error message and will be unable to proceed with the application without either adding or removing the Transfer/Investment/Re-Registration details. Transfers:

5 Investments: Re-Registration: Improved Client Search Improvements to the client searching functionality on the Adviser and Paraplanner home page have been made by extending the capabilities of the home page search box. When the user enters characters in the search box, the website now offers investor suggestions based on the information provided. The content will then adjust dynamically as more characters are entered. Clicking on a suggestion will take the user to the Client Summary page for that suggestion. The search criteria will now work on the following criteria. Surname: Corporate Name: Trust Name: Given Names:

6 National Insurance Number: Address Postcode: Preferred Retirement Age (PRA) Users are now able to set a client s preferred retirement age for an Uncrystallised SIPP. This age will then be used on all SIPP Review and Statutory Money Purchase Illustrations (SMPI) produced for the client. The Preferred Retirement Age now appears as part of the Regulatory Information screen on New Business, New Wrapper and Top-Up journeys for the SIPP Uncrystallised wrapper: For New Business and New Wrapper applications, if the Investor s age is greater than the default age of 68, the PRA will default to the Investor s current age +10 years. For Top-Ups, if the Investor s age is greater than their current retirement age, an error message is displayed asking the user to select a new PRA, and the application will not proceed until this has been changed:

7 The PRA can be edited to any integer value as long as the entered value is between the Investor s current age and within 55 (minimum age) and 110 (maximum age): A PRA for under the age of 55 can only be accepted as part of a protected age on a block transfer:

8 By clicking Yes the user is then prompted to enter the Block Transfer details and a message to this effect is displayed in the Task Information: The user can also amend the PRA figure recorded via the Preferred Retirement Age under the Transaction Tools in the Wrapper Summary screen for the selected existing investor: When the user clicks on this link, the current PRA recorded on the system is displayed: The age can be edited to any integer value as long as the entered age is between 55 (minimum age) and 110 (maximum age):

9 The new PRA cannot also be lower than the client s age: When the PRA is amended online, the charges are updated and the new PRA is then displayed online: Users will have until the 17th April 2015 to make any amendments to the preferred retirement age so that it takes affect for the SMPI that Novia provide in the April 2015 Half Yearly Statement. Online Servicing Address Changes For Individual clients (not Joint, Corporate or Trust Investors) the user is now able to update their contact details without the need for a form. Initially this will cover address (Primary and Correspondence), and telephone contact details. To access this new functionality, an Amend Client Details button has been added to the Client Search window of the Client Maintenance tab:
