1 Summer Camp Parent Package Age Overrides/Camp Transfers Sometimes you need a little flexibility. For age override requests and camp transfers please contact recinfo@barrie.ca. Preschool programs operate with a ratio of 1 leader for every 6 children and all other camps operate with a ratio of 1 leader for every 10 campers. These ratios are supplemented with support from our Leader In Training program, mediators and volunteers from the community. All staff are certified in First Aid, CPR C and require a criminal reference check. In addition they are trained to interact with children in a positive and developmentally appropriate manner. All camps follow the Parks and Recreation Ontario HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development. Fair Play in Camps... Fun for Everyone The goal of City of Barrie Day Camps is to ensure all campers have a rewarding, memorable, safe and fun experience while participating in our program.
