10 Field Definition Field M/O Type Maximum Carrier M Dropdown The dropdown lists the carriers partnered with the booking party on the INTTRA network. Using Carrier Provided Booking Numbers There are two types of booking numbers carriers may provide for your use when submitting a booking request: (1) Shipper-Managed Booking Numbers or (2) Rapid Reservation Numbers. Shipper-Managed Booking Numbers If you are using Shipper-Managed Booking Numbers (SMBN), your carrier has provided you a series of booking numbers for you to assign to your bookings. When you are creating a booking, you can supply this number in the Carrier Booking Number field, located in the General section of the Booking Request page. To use SMBN, you must be assigned to the Platinum Booking role. If you are not authorized, the Carrier Booking Number field is disabled. To obtain authorization, please contact INTTRA Customer Service ( Dynamic Rapid Reservation Numbers Some carriers provide "Dynamic Rapid Reservation Numbers" for some of their bookings, depending on the country, region, or customer. The rapid reservation numbers are provided by carriers through INTTRA and applied to booking transactions based on pre-defined criteria set by the carrier. If your booking qualifies for a rapid reservation number, your booking transaction is automatically assigned a booking number upon submission. Once confirmed by the carrier, the rapid reservation number becomes the carrier booking number and is returned in the booking confirmation. Note: INTTRA issues rapid reservation numbers as temporary confirmation, for documentation purposes only. The carrier will send an actual confirmation through normal channels and will be available via I-ACT or . Adding Parties to a Booking Party information can be supplied in 2 ways: (1) Using the My Partners lookup or (2) Entering party information in free format text. 11 Shipper or Forwarder required. Either the Shipper Name or the Forwarder Name is required for a booking. When a Shipper Name or a Forwarder Name has been entered, at least one of them must be an INTTRA registered company. My Partners. The "My Partners" lookup displays your business partners that are registered at INTTRA. When they are registered at INTTRA and included in a booking request, your partners will have access to status updates for the booking (including amendments, cancellation, confirmation, or declination). Additionally, if they are subscribed to I-ACT Track & Trace, they will also have access to container status events. If you have business partners that are not registered at INTTRA, we recommend that they be registered. To register new partners and partner them with you, please contact INTTRA Customer Service. I-ACT Booking only recognizes a registered company when you use the My Partners lookup tool to enter that company. If you manually enter the company name, I-ACT Booking will not recognize it as a registered company. Removing a party. To remove a party you have entered, use the Clear link, which appears next to the My Partners icon. My Role. This option allows you to indicate your role in the booking. Typically, this will apply to shippers and freight forwarders. You must indicate your role accordingly checking a particular party type automatically inserts your company information into the Shipper Name, Forwarder Name, Contract Party Name, or Consignee Name fields. Designating My Role for a particular party type will make you the booking party in the booking request. Note that the booking party is not shown on the I-ACT Booking but it is sent to the carrier.
