The following presentation will give a brief insight into the activities of the group as a whole and more specifically its UK chemical distribution business conducted by. Tennants Distribution Ltd

3 We can trace our origins back to When Charles Tennant, a farmer s son living near Glasgow and who was apprenticed as a Weaver, invented bleaching powder by passing chlorine gas over slaked lime. This revolutionised the linen trade by dramatically improving the bleaching process of cloth prior to dyeing and substantially reducing the cost. His business soon prospered!

Our range includes biocides, amino-cross-linkers, acrylic beads, PVC stabilizers, catalysts, UV active resins for printing, flow and levelling additives etc. Tennants Ventures The company was formed in April, 2004 with the specific objective of investing in high technology start up companies. 10 Tennants Distribution Ltd...was formed in 1997 as a holding company for the three existing UK mainland distribution companies Charles Tennant & Co Ltd, Tennants (Lancashire) Ltd and Charles Tennant & Co (London) Ltd. In October 1999 Tennants (Lancashire) Ltd and Charles Tennant & Co (London) Ltd formally merged under the name Tennants Distribution Ltd. Charles Tennant & Co Ltd (based in Scotland) remains a separate subsidiary company.
