3 Cytation 3 combines automated digital widefield microscopy and conventional multi-mode microplate detection in a unique patent pending system designed to capture rich phenotypic information and collect meaningful quantitative data in a single platform. 5 Grow It Cytation3 can be outfitted with a CO 2 / O 2 control module to provide the optimal environment for cell growth, along with programmable temperature control to 45 ºC, plus orbital and linear shaking. An available dual reagent dispenser is a valuable tool for precise reagent dispensing - ideal for dispense/read operations. Cell counting and sub-population data are calculated as images are acquired, and Gen5 s data analysis tools are easily applied. It s powerful software for imaging and microplate analysis, but is designed for users of all skill levels, including those without prior imaging experience. Captured images are analyzed, optimized, displayed and quickly and output in a variety of formats for printing, exporting and saving. Gen5 can import.tif files from other imaging software as well, for added convenience. Purposeful Image Statistics General statistics are calculated on the image s pixel values, providing relevant information like average pixel intensity and standard deviation. 7 Sub-Population Analysis When multiple cell sub-populations are present in a sample, Gen5 can sort by intensity or morphology, thus enabling analysis of transfection efficiency, nuclear translocation or cell cycle assays.
