Dissertation synopsis: This dissertation looks four different aspects of American clean air policy and politics. It seeks to understand the diffusion of innovation of certain parts of the Clean Air Act (CAA) throughout the states, the subnational adoption of Greenhouse Gas tracking and reduction policies, and the impact of CAA standards on the siting of coal-fired power plants.
