15 Adventure Camp Information Detailed information about each camp is available on our website: Important Information: Main pick up and drop off will be at Bell s Sports Centre, Perth. For activities planned in your local area, pick up points for activities can be arranged at the time of booking. Drop off from 08:00. End of day pick up between 17:00-18:00. Departures for activities will be between 09:00 09:30, returning between 16:00-16:30. A packed lunch, juice/water, sun screen and spare clothing is required. Equipment for the activity will be provided by Outdoor Education. For mountain/hill walking day, it is recommended that personal walking boots and gaiters are worn. For mountain biking, your own bike is recommended. Proper toilet facilities are not available at outdoor venues but toilet stops can be made to and from venues. If the weather is unsuitable for the session, the outdoor activities team reserve the right to change the venue and/or activity; or cancel the session. If a sessions is cancelled a full refund will be given. The outdoor activities team reserve the right to cancel sessions giving a minimum of three working days if fewer than four participants are booked onto a session. 16 Session Descriptions JUST FOR FUN Football: A fun energetic session. Get together with your mates and enjoy some practices, skills and games. Racket Sports: This class will help develop basic hand eye skills in a fun environment. Dodgeball: Are you quick enough for dodgeball? Athletics: Take part in a variety of running, jumping and throwing activities. Out & About: These fun sessions take place in the local community. Full of fun and games. Team Games: A mix of sports utilising both individual skill and team work. Wet & Wild*: A fun session with games. Enjoy a number of fun water sports. Aqua Run: Can you complete the Aqua Run challenge? Swimmers must be able to swim 10m competently in the deep end without arm bands. Child Admissions Policy Applies. Aqua Skills*: Learn some basic lifeguarding skills and play some fun games in the pool. Game Time: Mixed sports and activity session with a variety of equipment available. Squash: Learn the basics and improve your squash techniques! Bouncearound & Playtime: Bouncy castle and selection of soft play with a variety of sport and play equipment available to play with. SPORTS CAMPS Football: Do you have the skills to be the next Ronaldo? Well our football sessions will show you how. Dribbling, passing, shooting and games are all included. Gymnastics: Catering for all levels; whether you are a complete beginner learning the basics or a regular who wants to develop their skills. Ready for Rio / Athletics: A great opportunity to try out a wide variety of Olympic sports in a fun and safe environment. Will you represent your country in years to come? Learn to Swim: Lessons are 30 mins long and cater for pre-school non swimmers through to Level 7. For details on swim level criteria please contact your local Live Active pool. Kayaking Beginners*: A great camp familiarising you with the kayak, teaching basic strokes and incorporating fun games. Aquathlon: A fun camp involving running and swimming which will help prepare you for participating in an event. Don t forget to bring your swimming kit as well as your trainers! Kayaking Improvers*: Take your kayaking to the next level. Fine tune your strokes and learn how to manoeuvre the kayak better. Must have completed beginners camp. Rookie Lifeguard/Junior Lifeguard*: Learn the basics of lifesaving and water safety in this fun educational camp. Cricket: New to cricket or a regular player, you ll love this camp. Includes ground fielding, catching, batting exercises, games and more. No equipment needed, just come along. Trampolining: Experience the thrill of bouncing higher than ever before as our week long camp helps you build your strength, skills and confidence. Tennis: Learn the basic techniques and skills through playing fun drills and games on our fantastic outdoor courts. Not got one, don t worry, you can pick up a form from any LAL venue. 3) Book your camp or session at the venue where the activity is taking place (unless stated. You can do this by phone or at the reception of your local venue. 4) Booked by phone? A completed booking form must be handed into the venue prior to the beginning of the booked session. 5) Payment is required at the time of booking. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Please make any cheques payable to Live Active Leisure, unless the activity takes place at a campus. Cheques should then be made payable to the specific campus. Information for you: Refunds and Cancellations Some sessions may be cancelled in the event of low uptake or for unforeseen circumstances. In these instances, refunds will be given and we will give you as much notice as possible. If you are cancelling your child s participation within a booked session, 1 weeks notice must be given or the booking cost is non refundable.
