1 MediaMind Pushdown Banner Creation Using the Workshop Step 1 Open up the MediaMind Workshop (if you don t have this installed, you can download the files here.) This must be installed when creating ads for the MediaMind platform. Ad components: Default Image: GIF or JPG file (NOTE: Please consult Ninemsn specifications for max file sizes) Served to users into the ad space who do not have the latest Flash plugin or compatible browser. Default Flash: SWF file (NOTE: Please consult Ninemsn specifications for max file sizes) Standard Flash movie of that is served into the webpage's ad space. Expanding panel/s: SWF file (NOTE: Please consult Ninemsn specifications for max file sizes) One or more flash movies that appear when triggered. Please note if you are building the ad from scratch we have specification documentation available which we highly recommend reading before starting construction. 2 Step 2 Below are the options available when first opening the MediaMind Workshop. Use an Ad Template Best used if you re building an ad from scratch. Select the options necessary for your ad either AS2 or AS3 and the go down to the Push Down Banners section to select a template. Please note the dimensions can be changed like any other flash file. Once you ve hit create you ll notice the fundamental MediaMind specs are already in place (i.e blank first frame, EB.Init() and EB.Clickthrough(); inserted).

3 Open an Existing Ad This option is used either when opening an ebc file sent by MediaMind, or if you have closed an ad you were previously working on which is saved as an eba file. Once pressing the Start Creating button, you will be taken to your hard drive to choose the file to open. Once chosen, all the ad parts will open in flash, with settings being saved as well.

4 New If you have built the assets previously, you can create the ad to see how the format will function in a MediaMind environment. You will be given the options to create a new ad in AS2 or AS3, the dimensions of the ad, and spots to select the FLA files required for this ad.

5 Step 3 Once the ad has been opened, you will see all the elements listed in the workshop under their corresponding parts of the ad. You will be able to make the necessary changed to the ad to include your own animation and functionality, however bear in mind you must keep the blank first frame, EB.Init() and the EB.Clickthrough that replaces GetURL in a MediaMind ad.

6 Step 4 To make changes to the settings of the ad, click the icon of a spanner and a screwdriver (see below). Here you will be able to make changes as per necessary (panel names, inserting additional assets, frequency capping).this is where you can insert the default banner (required for MediaMind ads). If you re unsure of the setting required, contact creativeau@mediamind.com.au for assistance.

7 Step 5 Once the ad has been set up, it s highly recommended to preview the ad to ensure the ad is working correctly. You have the option to preview in whatever browser you have installed. You should be able to see the interactions monitor in the top left corner of the screen. This is the best indication the ad has been built correctly.

8 Step 6 Once you re happy the ad has been created correctly, you can upload the ad to the server. During the upload process, you will need to sign into the MediaMind platform. If you don t have any login details, please contact creativeau@mediamind.com to set up an account.

9 Step 7 Once the ad has been uploaded, you will see a unique ID has been created and the option to edit or preview the ad in the MediaMind platform will be present. If you click on the MediaMind logo in the top left corner of the browser, you will be taken to the homepage.

10 Your ad will be sitting in your ads list, which you can access by going to manage ads on the homepage. You can now assign and attach you ads to the placements set up by the Media Agency.
