26 RIVIERA LOUNGER Satin Black -9 OXLEY S FURNITURE Oxley s have been producing?ne quality cast and fabricated aluminium furniture from our Cotswold factory for many years. Our components come from foundries where only the highest grade aluminium alloys are used in the process of manufacture. Oxley s specialises in?nal construction and?nishing, thereby being able to guarantee our exceptional quality. Aluminium is the perfect material for all-weather furniture. Metal garden furniture has been used in the English garden since the industrial revolution in the 18th century. Tables and chairs were initially cast in iron, but during the 1970s the increasing availability of aluminium meant that using this much more expensive material became viable. When aluminium is properly treated it does not rust, it is far lighter than iron so chairs and tables can be easily moved but most importantly it requires no maintenance to keep it looking good. This metal can be cast or fabricated so there is an enormous variety of designs that are available. The quality of aluminium furniture you buy depends entirely on the amount of material that is used in manufacture and the time and care taken to prepare then coat it. Done the Oxley s way, it will last generations. CARE AND MAINTENANCE THE FURNITURE FRAME Wash the furniture frame with a soft rag and very occasionally car soap. Unlike dishwashing detergents and other household cleaners which are best avoided, a?ne car soap will not a4ect the?nish on the furniture. A very occasional waxing with car wax will help maintain the?nish. CUSHIONS Fabrics should be cleaned of crumbs and other bits of food before they become embedded. This is best done by brushing and then cleaning the cover (without removing the inner) with soap and water. Sponge directly onto the stain. Allow the cushion to air dry. Always make sure that cushions are completely dry before storing for the winter. FURNITURE COLOURS Oxley s furniture is available in a range of colours. The plain colours are high grade architectural polyester powder?nishes which are applied electrostatically and cured in our high temperature ovens. Each plain colour comes in either a smooth or a textured?nish. Our specialist?nishes go through a further hand?nishing process which gives them their unique and beautiful patina. 27 STANDARD CUSHIONS Our cushions are made with solution dyed acrylic fabric. These fabrics are comfortable and shower proof, while withstanding the e4ects of fading from UV light, mildew, chlorine and atmospheric chemicals. We also make many cushions for our customers in fabrics chosen by them and we can include braiding and tassels as illustrated below. FABRIC CUSHIONS The JAB UV pro collection of fabrics are engineered to last years without losing their unique properties:- colourfastness, durability, water and stain repellence. These fabrics provide an exceptional combination of functional strength and sensory softness. They are made from solution dyed acrylic?bres and specially developed by JAB to be strong, durable and resilient. UV pro fabrics ensure quality and longevity for years to come and they always remain soft to the touch. PROTECTIVE COVERS These are a quick and easy solution to outdoor season cushion storage. We make them for furniture featuring our sumptuously big cushions. Our protective covers are designed to withstand daily rain and keep cushions clean.
