6 Video Marketing It has been said before and I will say it again, YouTube is going nowhere! Their traffic continues to climb and people are engaging more with videos. Through all the recent search engine changes you will find that videos still show up near the top of the search results for most keyword searches. It is a great way to get traffic that doesn t depend completely on SEO.

8 Creating Your Videos Here are a few simple ideas for creating videos: Create PowerPoints and use a ScreenCapture tool like Jing, CamStudio, or Camtasis to record it. Use Windows MovieMaker to insert images or free public domain images into a slideshow and overlay it with an audio of you reading a PLR article in your niche or one that you wrote. Use your webcam or flip video camera and sit down and talk about your points. Record a screen capture tutorial showing people how to do something online. Record your hand writing on a white board.

9 Finding Hot Video Topics YouTube Promoted Videos Keyword Tool

10 Finding Hot Video Topics YouTube Search Suggestion Lookup possible video topics for your niche and see what they suggest to you. For example start typing golf ti and it will bring back many variations for golf tips. Google Insights for Search (Formerly Google Trends) Put in keywords to view and compare their trends. Is there a high volume for it based on their 1 to 100 scale? Does traffic seem be rising for this topic?

11 YouTube Ranking Signals Video Title Include keywords here and try to make your first 60 characters keyword focused so it appears in the search results. Video Description YouTube gives you plenty of room to create an informative description. Videos that typically rank the highest have good text in the description that relates to the video. Include your website or blog link at the beginning with this format Without the your link will not be active. Include your squeeze page link here. Video Tags Use the same keywords for your title and description in your tag and think of any related words you possibly can. Use your important keywords first.

12 YouTube Ranking Signals Likes & Dislikes Encourage people to like your video after it and at the end of your description. Request people on your list view or comment on the video. Let people on Facebook and Twitter know as well. Video Comments Keep the comments open so your video stays active and it will help push it near the top. Respond and interact with your customers as well. Syndication Allow your YouTube videos to be syndicated all over to mobile devices, TVs, and more.

13 YouTube Ranking Signals Number of Video Views This is one of the most important ways to see your video rankings improve. Getting more people to view your videos can be huge for your content as it is a good indicator that it is popular. Send to your lists, Twitter, Facebook. After about 8 seconds a video is considered viewed so make sure your content is engaging.

14 Start Creating Your Videos Start creating your videos. Run a search on Google for video hosting sites or video sharing sites Keep your information informative, engaging, and fun.

15 Blogging Blogging may be old, but it is still a highly effective way for you to build a huge following, build your list, and generate long term search engine traffic. If you are not blogging on your ecommerce, business website, or sales page site you need to begin doing that. You can use the format or just if that is the sole focus of the site.

Use the All-In-One SEO Plugin for basic search engine optimization. Worry more about content than your theme initially. The basic themes will be fine to get started. You can often spend so much time finding the perfect theme that you don t create any content for awhile.

Create a controversial viewpoint if possible with your posts to draw in attention and people. Let your audience tell you what they want and make sure they can comment on your blog posts. Interaction is huge for the search engines. Update your blog frequently. If you look at the most popular blogs in your niche you will see they are updated daily, but try to go at least 3 to 4 times per week. (I am going to do a better job of this.) Create great content that gets attention. This could mean lists, videos, pictures that illustrate your point, and more.

19 Blogging Increasing Your Visitors Promote your content with social media: Use the Digg Digg plugin to generate Facebook Likes, Twitter Shares, Google +1 Votes, and more. These social signals are huge for search engine rankings and we will cover that more. Create your blogging schedule and try to be consistent with it. Blogging is still a great way to get traffic for the long term.

20 Article Marketing New Methods Article marketing still works when done the proper way. You no longer want to submit to tons of article directories at once. A good strategy is to submit to the top 5 or so article directories and also look for ones that are niche related to submit to. Run a Google search for top article directories So do searches for financial article directories, dog article directories, golf article directories

21 Article Marketing New Methods Guest Posting or Blogging is another great strategy you can implement to generate traffic from highly targeted sources. Look for websites in the search engines related to your niche by looking up your niche guest blogger, your niche submit blog, your niche and submit article, and your niche and submit content. Create a unique article for them and get a backlink to your site. Run a search in Alexa.com to find some sites in your niche that are already getting good traffic.

22 Article Marketing New Methods The key with article marketing is to worry more about quality than quantity. Still include the links in your articles to your website either in the resource box or in the article if they allow it. Find a couple of websites that you can guest blog for each week and try to get an article published at least once per week to keep steady and high authority links coming in.

23 Fresh Content I already addressed this when I talked about blogging, but the search engines really like fresh and unique content now more than ever! My client sites and my sites that get the most traffic each month are the ones with the most frequently updated content. It may seem simple, but like in blogging you need to create a schedule for new content creation or you need to outsource it. Fresh content could include adding products to your website, creating a new article, offering a new report, putting a video on a page, etc. The key is to be consistent and keep at it.

24 Ad Swaps After you have a little bit of an list you can begin to grow it pretty rapidly through Ad Swaps where you promote to someone s targeted offer in exchange for them promoting for you. The most effective way is to send them to a squeeze page so you can list build. Also, make sure you only partner and do adswaps with people that have a list in a niche similar to your own. You do this strategy in any niche market, but need to do some effort looking at article directories and looking at blogs in your niche to identify list owners that you can contact to propose an ad swap. You can use bit.ly or clixtrac.com to track your clicks.

25 Ad Swaps The free way of doing ad swaps is to find the people to swap with manually, but there is an easier way if you are in the Internet marketing or home business niche. Look into sending out multiple times with people who have larger lists so you can swap with them and still match their clicks to you. This way you can generate more clicks.

26 Joint Ventures This is the single fastest way you can get traffic to your website so you can make sales. It has been my most effective traffic method for several years now. A joint venture is when you get another marketer with an list to promote for you. You give a commission for any traffic they send that results in a sale. It can be frustrating when you are new because you don t know how to setup joint ventures with other people.

27 Surefire Methods To Get People To Promote for You This one tip resulted in a JV that resulted in over six figures. It is extremely simple and can go a long way for you as I have done many JVs with my own customers this way. When you find a marketer that you want to get the attention of purchase their product, and then if it is a good product promote it through any means possible. This could be article reviews, a video walk through of the course, social bookmarking, or other traffic methods. Even send out to an list if you have it. Then the person you want to get the attention of and ask them to review what you have done to promote their product. It is a super simple method to get their attention and if you have made some sales you may get a good JV partner for life.

28 Other Methods I Use To Get JV Partners To Promote for Me Send out blasts to your past customers or to your list. Your customers and subscribers can end up being your best affiliates. I know this from experience. Search article directories for people actively promoting in your niche. Use Google Blog Search at to find bloggers in your niche as well. You can also browse to find more potential bloggers that can promote for you and that may have an following. Don t underestimate the power of JV Zoo or Warrior Plus as networks to tap into a large army of affiliates.

29 Other Methods I Use To Get JV Partners To Promote for Me Browse the Clickbank Marketplace to find affiliates with products similar to yours and then follow up with them either by their affiliate contact address. Attend live events whenever possible. I have met so many affiliates at live events it is crazy and even business partnerships can be formed at these events. Always deliver high value and word will get around the industry about you and your courses and materials. Search for people promoting products similar to yours by going to Google and looking up that product name and review to find them. Contact your Facebook friends if they are from your niche or look at Facebook groups as well.

30 Online Press Releases One of my favorite methods for traffic generation and when used correctly can build up a lot of buzz for your website. Gives you backlinks from authority websites which are great for search engine rankings. Enhances the credibility of your online business through increased positive exposure online. Drives targeted traffic which results in fresh leads and sales for you. Generates traffic for years down the road with no additional investment required! (Proof: I have press releases submitted in 2004 still online and getting traffic for a past client of mine!)

35 Writing A Press Release To write a press release browse major press release sites like or for examples. The press release just needs basic angle. This could be a new website, an article you just posted, a product launch, a new blog post, a new video, a new hire, a new design, something in your niche, a controversial viewpoint in your niche, etc. Write with Who, What, When, Where, and Why. Include the link to the website in the press release near the beginning and the end. Make sure your title of the press release incorporates your main keywords if possible.

36 Submitting A Press Release Submit your press release online to press release submission sites for free. To get the most updated list of press release distribution sites and to compile your own list just go to and run these searches: submit press release free submit press release online submit press release

37 Tracking Press Release Results The key with press release distribution online is to get as much exposure with it as possible because the press release or news sites feed their information to other sites and blogs online which can result in a lot of links and mentions for you. To track your results just go to and search for your press release title in quotes.

38 Lists An excellent source of traffic for any business out there is your list of subscribers. Even Fortune 500 companies use their database all the time to promote and sell additional products and services. If you have an list and aren t following up with it on a regular basis to send them to your own products, websites, or affiliate offers you are missing our greatly. One of my clients how has a set of retail stores online just recently started having me do blasts and each blast can send around 1,000 new visitors to their website which results in massive sales for them.

39 Lists If you do have an list already and are afraid to send out to or aren t sure what to send them this can help you out. This one little method has been used with my personal coaching students with a 100% success rate. I encourage them to pick out a product to promote to their list or some kind of offer and tell them to push it two times in the same day. Once in the morning and once at night. This way you reach people at different times to get the offer. You won t get as many complaints as you may think you will end up with.

40 Lists Like anything out there being consistent is key with your list marketing as well. If you aren t sending even free training to them you are losing touch with them and also not gaining their trust. So setup a promotional calendar so you know what you will be pushing each day to your list. This includes video marketing, new article marketing methods, blogging, joint ventures with your own products, and more.

41 Traffic Methods Losing Effectiveness Some traffic methods I have noticed that are slowing losing their effectiveness with the latest Google changes include: Traditional Article Marketing (Mass Submissions) Over Optimizing Your Site (No Perfect Keyword Density Write for Humans) Massive Social Bookmarking of Your Website and Not Individual Content Directory Links (Submitting To Niche Directories Is OK)

42 Two Traffic Methods You Should Focus On If I had to pick two traffic methods that you should really focus on I would say video marketing and blogging with creative content. We already covered video marketing already, but it is a method that will stay here for years to come and won t be going anywhere soon. It can get you a lot of traffic that is sustainable and can build you quite the following. The other method is blogging with creative content. I will lay this strategy out now.

43 Blogging With Creative Content This method is an excellent source for Google Penguin Friendly backlinks. It also works great because it builds up your blog traffic which is key for building your list or for affiliate promotions. This method is a pretty simple concept, but it can take sometime just like many of the good free traffic methods we are covering here. This is the same strategy even major SEO firms are going to for their clients.

44 Blogging With Creative Content Start by working on creating a high quality piece of content. Here are some ideas for your content: List Article on Your Blog (Top 32 Ways ) 5,000+ Word Report On Your Blog Video Teaching A Hot Method After you finish your content which may take several days because it is super high quality you will want to start promoting it through various social channels to build up social signals for it.

45 Blogging With Creative Content To promote your content you would follow these steps: Social Bookmarking (SocialMarker.com) Find Influencers On Twitter (Klout.com) Send A Direct Message Find Facebook Groups In Your Niche Post in the groups you joined (if allowed) Post on Your Facebook Page Your List Post On Your Twitter Post on Google + Profile Seek Out Bloggers and Them About Your Content Post a Press Release about your content. Create a video from your content if not already a video, or if a video turn the content into an article for your site to add additional value to it. Comment in niche forums with your signature changed to your new content that you have.

46 Blogging With Creative Content The purpose of this is to get mass exposure for your brand and build up the social signals that Google is putting so much weight on.

47 Future of SEO Post Penguin Some say that SEO is dead and that isn t really the case. It has changed quite a bit, but a few things have not changed. If you are providing good quality content, than you will in turn be ok with all the latest changes as long as you aren t doing bad linking. My sites and my client sites did not see major hit with the Penguin or Panda updates because they focus on fresh content, and I need to do an even better job of that. You need to be more careful as far as how you get your links and focus on going after quality links instead of large quantity of links. I will share some Post Penguin Link Building methods in a little bit.

48 5 Things You Can Do To Protect From Penguin and Other Updates Provide excellent content on your site that is relevant to what your audience wants. Get involved with Google+, Twitter, and Facebook. Build good links instead of bulk links. Optimize your title tag for the search engines. Don t focus on over optimizing your site.

49 Post Penguin Link Building Methods Directory links are still ok as long as you focus on niche directories and a few quality directories. Don t pay people or buy software that submits you to hundreds or even thousands of directories at one time. It will not do you any good and may harm you. Guest blogging is an awesome way to get links. This is where you write blog posts for other blogs in your niche in exchange for them linking back to you and you get exposure to their audience and traffic.

50 Post Penguin Link Building Methods Go after local links like if you donate to a local charity, are member of the Chamber of Commerce, have local business groups around you, etc. These links look very natural. Comment on niche blogs and leave constructive comments about the post. Deliver value and you can receive backlinks and targeted visitors. Give your opinion on the article you just read. Link to your site from videos as well.

51 Longtail Keywords Are Still Huge Targeting longtail keywords that have like 4, 5, or 6 words in them is still effective. Long tail phrases are like how to cure golf slice or something like that. With long tail keyword phrases you get more qualified visitors to your websites because they want something specific. Use the Google Adwords Keyword Tool to find a list of long tail keyword phrases.

52 Methods I Am Focusing On Doing a lot more blogging with creative content. So coming up with killer content pieces and promoting just that content to in turn get the sites massive exposure and traffic. Have an even better content creation schedule. Do a lot more with videos. There is always room for new improvement there.

53 Your Action Steps Take action on at least one traffic method in here and work on it until you see an increase in your traffic. Be consistent. The key to traffic is consistency. Focus on exposure for your good content and the rest will fall into place with whatever search engines changes are coming around.
