2 Important information about attendance Summer school attendance is mandated by the State of New Jersey. Students seeking credit are NOT permitted any absences. THERE ARE NO EXCUSED ABSENCES OR LATES. IF A STUDENT SEEKS CREDIT FOR A COURSE, ANY ABSENCE MUST BE MADE UP WITHIN TWO (2) SCHOOL DAYS AT THE TUTORING FEE OF $30.00 PER HOUR. ANY STUDENT ABSENT FOR A THIRD DAY WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE PROGRAM AND RECEIVE NO CREDIT OR REFUND. 3 COURSE OFFERINGS Remedial Courses For students who have failed a course or who have been denied credit during the regular school year. (3 hour sessions, total of 60 hours of instruction) Fee: $ PER SESSION Algebra 1, 2 Geometry English 9, 10, 11, 12 Physical Education 9, 10, 11, 12 Health Education 9, 10, 11, 12 Driver s Education World History United States History 1, 2 Biology Environmental Science Chemistry Financial Literacy Satisfies the NJ State Requirement for Economics/Personal Finance; not open to Wayne Students entering high school in September Accelerated Courses For students who wish to accelerate and receive credit for one 5 credit course (6 hour sessions, total 120 hours of instruction) FEE: $ Geometry Algebra 2 Pre-Calculus Chemistry Biology English 9-12 United States History 1 & 2 World History Administration reserves the right to cancel classes due to lack of enrollment. If a class is cancelled, a refund will be made.
4 Enrichment Courses NO CREDIT (3 hour sessions, total of 60 hours of instruction). ALL ENRICHMENT COURSES ARE NON-CREDIT AND MAY NOT BE SUBSTITUTED FOR MAKE-UP OR ACCELERATED COURSES FEE: $ PER SESSION Preparatory Courses - Meant to assist students who may have experienced difficulty in a pre-requisite course and are concerned about their level of success as they enter the next level course OR for students who would like to enhance their understanding of these subjects prior to next school year. Algebra Geometry Biology Pre-Calculus Administration reserves the right to cancel classes due to lack of enrollment. If a class is cancelled, a refund will be made.
