1 OPENING CEREMONY AND EXECUTIVE DINNER OF THE WORLD BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIPS IN BANGKOK, THAILAND Douglas Latchford, President of the Thailand Bodybuilding and Physique Association hosted a special dinner for members of the WBPF Executive Council at the Fu Marn Lau Chinese Restaurant of Hotel Twin Towers in Bangkok on 4th December Douglas thanked all the members for their support and assured them that he and his team will do everything possible to make the 6 days competiton a great success. 41 (forty-one) countries participated in the 4 th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships held in Bangkok, Thailand from 4 10 th December Brazil, Canada, Egypt, Kosovo and Japan were present at this grand event, their membership were approved by the Congress held on 6 th December 2012.

2 President Douglas Latchford presented an antique statue of Lord Ganesha to Datuk Paul Chua, Secretary-General of WBPF at the dinner function. Lord Ganesha - God of Success, Knowledge, Wisdom and Wealth - Remover of Evil and Obstacles. Over 250 athletes and 150 officials attended and had a wonderful time in Bangkok, Thailand. The Thailand Bodybuilding and Physique Association under the leadership of Mr. Douglas Latchford and his Secretary Mr. Sugree Suprawakul and the Organizing Committee hosted one of the best championships which will be remembered by all for many years to come. The competitions were graced by the His Excellency General Yuthasak Sasiprapha, Deputy Prime Minister & President of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King and by Mrs. Saengchan Varasumanta, Director General Department of Physical Education & Chairman of the Executive Board of the 4 th WBPF World Championships Organizing Committee.

The competitions were held for a period of three days commencing from 7 th, 8 th and 9 th of December An extravaganza farewell party was organized for all WBPF officials and athletes on 9 th December evening at 8.30 p.m at the Twin Tower Hotel and everyone enjoyed the Thai cuisine, sang songs and danced all night long.

5 Douglas Latchford receiving the WBPF Distinguished Award from Datuk Paul Chua Walter Branden, President of WBPF Netherlands and Chairman of the WBPF Judges Committee was awarded the DSA for his vast contributions for bodybuilding. Hussain Alsaffar, Treasurer of the WBPF also received the DSA award from Datuk Paul Chua.

6 Mrs. Saengchan Varasumanta was presented with the WBPF Gold Medal by Datuk Paul Chua Sugree Suprawakul, WBPF Secretary to the Judges' Committee and the Organising Secretary of the 4th World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championships was awarded the DSA for his great contributions for bodybuilding
