2 01.01 EVENT DESCRIPTION The Organizing Committee, in cooperation with I.O.T.A and under the aegis of the WPPA and authorization of the Norwegian Federation is organizing in Arendal, Norway, the BMW Norwegian Grand Prix 2008, which event is:- Round 4 of the 2008 WPPA UIM CLASS 1 WORLD POWERBOAT CHAMPIONSHIP and Round 3 of the 2008 WPPA UIM CLASS 1 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP PROVISIONAL EVENT TIME TABLE FRIDAY, 18th July Administration/Registration Technical Scrutineering Fuel Available Team Managers Briefing (at NPG lounge) Cranage Available Official Practice (on race course) Boat Parade and opening ceremony (mandatory) Drivers briefing (Arendal Town Hall) The Mayor s official welcome reception in Town hall Note: In respect of the kind invitation from Arendal Municipality, the welcome reception is mandatory for pilots and team managers. SATURDAY, 19th July Fuel available Cranage Available Official Practice (on race course) All race to be positioned in wet pit(pollen) NOR-TECH SPEED RECORD EDOX POLE POSITION START After Finish. 5 01.07 Airport transfer Airport transfer from Kristiansand airport or Sandefjord airport can be organized free of charge for groups from 4 persons up to 17 persons. Transfer booking minimum 14 days before arrival has to be done to: Transfer coordinator: transport@ngpoffshore.com Car rental Sandefjord Airport Avis Hertz Car rental Kristiansand Airport Avis Hertz Ferry Transport Transport supplied from LOC will be organized with a cargo ferry between Kristiansand and Hirtshals. Teams using other transportation solutions will be contributed up to Euro 14 per linear meter. Transport to be coordinated by IOTA Noise restrictions 09.00AM PM Fri, sat and Sun Engine start allowed Teams starting engines outside this period, without an eventual special permission, will be fined with Euro 2.000,- Please respect instructions regarding garbages and care regarding oil spilling etc. Pollution on ground, or cause spilling of oil/ grease in pit area, a fine up to Euro 2.000,- will be charged to the team. Teams are not allowed on water outside official test, pole or race times. A fine up to 2000 Euro will be charged to the team. Environment: Teams are committed to use the stations for vaste handling and sorting on plastic, paper, metal and food. A fine up to 2000 Euro will be charged to the team Driving with moped. It is mandatory to use helmet when driving moped outside pit and hospitality area. If not respected, the police will stop you and you will be charged a fine. A specified route between pit area and town centre must be followed.
