1 CORPORATE FORMATS Logo Configurations There are two approved presentations of the Embassy Suites Hotels corporate logo. These logos are to be used in corporate, non-property specific presentations and in property-specific, single or multiple property presentations when positioned away from the property listing(s). Please adhere to these rules whenever printing premiums, merchandise, collateral or advertising materials. For all uses, reproduction must be from original logo art. The logotype for Embassy Suites Hotels is based on Bodoni Old Face Bold typeface. If printing in one color, the E symbol and all type can print black or Pantone If printing in two or more colors, the E symbol prints Pantone 3278, all type prints black. (See Logo Use Restrictions for details.) The or Registration Mark must be affixed to the logo at the top-right corner of Hotels. ADDING TO THE LOGO The EMBASSY number and are set in Univers Ultra Condensed Regular. The space between EMBASSY and the logotype must be equal to or greater than the space between the logo and logotype. CONFIGURATION ONE Use this logo alone or when listing the number and Web site below logo. CONFIGURATION TWO E symbol to left of logotype without number and Web site. LS1

2 SINGLE PROPERTY FORMATS There are two approved presentations of the Embassy Suites Hotel single property logo. One of these two formats must be used in all single property printed applications. Please adhere to the following guidelines whenever printing single property premiums, merchandise, collateral or advertising materials. Property name may be set and centered in one or two lines beneath the logotype. The property name should never exceed the size of logotype or width of the rule. The rule below the logo must always appear when adding a property name. The length of the rule matches the width of EMBASSY SUITES HOTEL in both formats. The thickness of the rule is 1.25 points when using the logo at 100%. The space between the logotype and rule should be of equal distance to the space between the rule and property name measuring.25" when logo is used at 100%. If printing in one color, the E symbol and all type can print black or Pantone If printing in two or more colors, the E symbol prints Pantone 3278, all type prints black. When producing your own application,.125" 1.646" the logo must be sized to ensure legibility. It is recommended that it does not appear.125" 1.785" smaller than the 50% example shown. There should be a consistent balance when all of the graphic elements are viewed together. LS3

4 MULTIPLE PROPERTY FORMATS There are three approved presentations of the Embassy Suites Hotels multiple property logo. One of these formats, or use of a corporate format with listings positioned away from the logo, must be used in all multiple property presentations. Please adhere to the following guidelines whenever printing premiums, merchandise, collateral or advertising materials that utilize a multiple property format. Multiple property listings, phone numbers and rates may be set and centered beneath the logotype. The rule below the logo must always appear when adding multiple property listings. The length of the rule matches the width of the first line of the property listings. The only acceptable exception to the standard occurs when the first line of the property listing(s) is shorter than the logotype or symbol and logotype. In this instance the length of the rule matches the width of the logotype or symbol and logotype (see configurations one, two and three on the following page). The thickness of the rule is 1.25 points when using the logo at 100%. The space between the logotype and rule should be of equal distance to the space between the rule and property listings or symbol and rule (as shown in Configuration Two) measuring.375" when logo is used at 100%. If printing in one color, the E symbol and all type can print black or Pantone If printing in two or more colors, the E symbol prints Pantone 3278, all type prints black. 7 CLEAR SPACE GUIDELINES General Applications One of the most common misuses for most graphic treatments and logo applications is violation of clear space parameters. Please follow clear space guidelines when using this graphic treatment in your applications. THE IDEAL HABITAT FOR BUSINESS. The body copy enters the Embassy Logo clear space and the logo is too far right which doesn t allow enough clear space at the edge of the ad. LS7

8 COLOR Logo Use Restrictions If printing premiums or merchandise in one color, the E symbol and logotype can print black or Pantone In collateral and advertising applications where printing is to be one color, only black or white (if reversed out of black) may be used for the E symbol and logotype. If printing in two colors, the E symbol prints Pantone 3278, the logotype prints black or white. RETAINING THE INTEGRITY OF THE LOGO Do not distort, alter or position the logo in any way that deviates from current configurations (i.e. slanted or rotated in any manner). Do not superimpose the logo on any object to create the impression that the logo is printed on that object. Do not extract the E from the symbol. Do not make patterns out of the E symbol. Do not use the E symbol alone in printed materials. It must always be used with Embassy Suites Hotels in one of the approved configurations. Do not change the emphasis between Embassy and Suites Hotels from a type-size standpoint. Do not outline the typeface. Do not put a double frame around the E symbol. All clear space guidelines must be observed (see page LS7). Do not modify the configurations. Use only those provided for print. When printing the logo on any background image or color other than white, the letter E and the box rule inside of the E symbol must always print white. Do not print the identity elements on a teal background that is different from Pantone 3278 unless the E symbol and logotype will be printed in two colors. Black is the only approved background color the E symbol and logotype may both be completely reversed out of. Do not change the specified colors or use colors that approximate specifications. Use of the logo with a second logo and/or trademark (i.e., with Franchise or Management Company logo) requires corporate approval.
