2 THE RHD 450 S PRESS WAS DESIGNED FOR APPLICATION OF TRANSFERS OF ALL QUALITIES FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM MASS PRODUCTIONS. THIS EQUIPMENT WAS TESTED IN OUR WORKSHOPS TO OBTAIN A ONE YEAR GUARANTEE AGAINST ANY MANUFACTURING VICE. Page N 1

3 I. CONDITIONS OF GUARANTEE The guarantee period starts the day of putting the equipment into service at the user s place, for a duration of one year that is to say 2000 hours. The guarantee is strictly limited to our equipments, against the defects of matter and execution, with the buyer s responsibility to prove the known defects. Our responsibility is limited to the obligation to rectify or replace free of charge the parts acknowledged as faulty by ourselves, and there will no claim for any indemnity whatever the reason given. Parts replaced under the guarantee: remain our property are the subject of an invoicing of deposit A credit of cancellation is activated as soon as the faulty parts are returned. The return will have to occur ONE MONTH MAXIMUM after the intervention. THE GUARANTEE DOES NOT COVER: The retail consumables such as: fuses, bulbs, transformers, joint, flexible devices, covers... The supplies, which are not our own manufacturing, undergo the guarantee of their manufacturer. THE GUARANTEE DOES NOT APPLY: To replacements, nor repairs which would result from normal wear and tear of apparatus and machines, of deteriorations and accidents coming from negligence, defect of monitoring and maintenance, defective use or modifications without our written agreement. In case of vice coming from the material supplied by the buyer, or a design imposed by the latter. To repairs which would result from deteriorations or accidents occurred during transport. To operations of maintenance and adjustments inherent in the use of the machine, and indicated in the maintenance manual, such as: adjustments of intermediaries screwing of piping, etc do not enter the clauses of guarantee. For the pneumatic machines, any trace of detergent oil in the pneumatic circuit inhibits the conditions of guarantee previously mentioned. For any technical information or spare parts orders, please give the reference number of the machine as well as its serial number. Page N 2

6 IV. INSTALLATION OF THE MACHINE 1. HANDLING Unpack the machine from its box. Place it on a stable table. 2. INSTALLATION After having positioned the equipment on its working place, Electrically plug the press in ( 220 Volt + Neutral + Earth / 50 or 60 Hertz ) V. This press was designed for an operator working opposite the machine. VII. SAFETY Any maintenance intervention must be done when the machine is off and locked (electric energy unplugged) Page N 6

8 VIII. TIME / TEMPERATURE SETTINGS 1. TEMPERATURE SETTING Press on the temperature icon. With dials + or display the required temperature value. Confirm in pressing OK 2. TIME SETTING Press on the time icon. With dials + or display the required time value. Confirm in pressing OK IX. PRESSURE SETTING - The pressure setting can be modified according to the need of the user: The operator can modify the pressure in adjusting the column height. Turn the wheel which is at the back of the machine: clockwise, to increase the tightening pressure, anticlockwise, to decrease the tightening pressure. X. MAINTENANCE 1. Code R1 : Appears when the machine has been heating for h that is to say around 5 years. It will be necessary to do a general service. See your reseller. 2. Code R2 : Appears when the machine has realised knocks It will be necessary to grease the axles, to oil and lubricate all the moving parts. 3. Code R3 : Appears when the machine has realised knocks So it will be necessary to change the pads (rubber silicone). 4. Code R4 : Appears when the machine has realised knocks It will be necessary to grease the axles. 5. Code R5 : Appears when the machine has realised knocks It will be necessary to change the locking arm. TO ERASE THE MESSAGE REGARDING THE SERVICE: REFER TO THE X card INSTRUCTION MANUAL Page N 7

9 XI. CYCLE DESCRIPTION 1. The operator will have to toggle on the general switch to power the machine up. 2. Set the temperature on 180 ( or to define according to the type of transfer ) See SETTINGS 1 3. Set the application time on 15 seconds ( ou à définir suivant le type de transfert ) See SETTINGS 2 4. Set the pressure. 5. Position the tee-shirt on the lower plate. 6. Adjust the transfer sheet. 7. Lower the heating plate using the handle. 8. When the heating plate is in contact with the tee-shirt, the timer counts down. 9. At the end of the countdown, the bell rings. Then lift the heating plate using the handle. XII. ACCESSORY FITTING This machine offers the advantage to be able to receive various accessories: LOWER PLATES OF VARIOUS SIZES In this case, the lower plate will have to be removed unscrewing the 2 nuts which hold the sleeve-board to the frame. ACCESSORY FOR TRANSFER APPLICATION ON CAPS The operator will have to 1. remove the cover situated at the front of the heating plate: 2. remove the sleeve-board as explained above and fix the cap base instead. 3. Position the cap curve on the heating plate then lock it screwing the 2 screws accessible from above the cover. 4. Adjust the pressure actioning the wheel at the back of the machine as described on page 7 IX Page N 8

10 XIII. POSSIBLE BREAKDOWNS 1. ELECTRICAL BREAKDOWNS SYMPTOMS The plate will not heat POSSIBLE BREAKDOWNS One of the fuses is out of order REPAIRS If no light on the press goes on, check the fuse, change it if necessary GENERAL FUSE situated in a seating next to the power cable plug ( 10 A ). To access it, take the power cable off, with the tip of a pen or a screwdriver, lift the fuse s case. You will find a replacement fuse in a square tube to put instead of the one that is in the clip. The CARD FUSE is situated on the electronic card ( 0,8A ) The plate overheats See the messages on the LCD screen See the messages on the LCD screen Contact your reseller Contact your reseller The timer will not count down The microswitch is not activated or faulty Adjust it or replace it if necessary The plate will not go down The gas spring is stuck Check it, change it if necessary The plate stays in low position The gas spring is faulty There is a leak on the spring, there is not enough pressure for the plate to go up.
