1 Liste classée d acronymes anglais Version 5 octobre 2006 La première version de septembre 2001 avait rassemblé à l intention de toutes personnes travaillant dans l audiovisuel (au sens large) un peu plus de acronymes couvrant les domaines de la vidéo, de l audio, de l informatique et des télécommunications rencontrés ici et là au cours de nos lectures, afin de vous aider dans la compréhension des articles de la presse spécialisée, des livres blancs, des documentations des constructeurs, des diapositives présentées en conférence ou d autres ouvrages qui en font largement usage et ne les explicite pas toujours. Parfois, nous avons ajouté une information entre parenthèses qui permet de remettre cet acronyme dans son contexte. Cette version 5 encore plus étoffée regroupe plus de acronymes anglais qui tiennent compte de nos récentes lectures. Nous avons ajouté, en fin d alphabet, une liste d acronymes détournés, utilisés lors de conversations avec des collègues étrangers. Que personne n y voit ici une attaque personnelle contre quiconque, mais simplement une manière de vous montrer que même les acronymes peuvent vous amener à sourire. Un tel document ne peut évidemment pas prétendre être complet (et ne le sera d ailleurs jamais), mais peut en revanche recevoir, de façon régulière et avec l aide de tous, des compléments qui en feront un outil de plus en plus performant.
