We are experienced in appointing Heads, Principals, Heads of Preparatory and Pre-Preparatory Schools, Bursars and Development Directors. We have also supported a wide range of national educational bodies, agencies and charities on Chief Executive and other senior leadership searches. Internationally, Perrett Laver have worked with a number of pre-eminent international schools and growing international schools groups to appoint Principals, Vice- Principals, Heads of Senior School and others. Our experience includes work with UK HMC schools developing a presence overseas together with leading members of FOBISIA and other international networks. Job description Reporting line As a member of the Research Team you report to the Head of Research and the Consultant Lead of the Schools Practice. Standard hours Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6pm with up to one hour for lunch. The team The Research Team is responsible for managing and delivering research within the firm. Specific accountabilities are outlined below, but all Perrett Laver colleagues are expected to demonstrate and promote the company s values and quality standards in all that they do. 4 Accountabilities and skills Research develop sector specific knowledge and expertise; attend client briefings/meetings where appropriate; guide Consultant/client on appropriate search strategies (i.e. international reach, disciplinary focus); deliver research on senior appointments to the highest standard; carry out comprehensive and creative desk-based research for all assignments; identify and communicate with a high calibre international candidate field, and advocate on behalf of the client; make preliminary assessments of candidates and convey these assessments to the Consultant. Project management manage and independently direct multiple, high volume research projects; develop and maintain relationships with candidates; prepare and proof client documents as required, such as research update and longlist/shortlist documents. Team and company involvement contribute to team spirit and work ethic and provide support for Schools Practice; ensure a high quality of team output; work with other researchers in the Schools Practice and the wider team on research strategies.
