1 Online Tier 4 Entry Clearance Form Example Form The online entry clearance form is accessible from: You will need to create a user name and log in. You can save your application as you go through, however it is good idea to have all information to hand before you complete your application. You must provide all information required from the form. If you have ever overstayed a visa in the UK even by a very short time you must include this where it asks have you ever been in breach of your immigration conditions. This does not mean your application will be refused; but you could be banned from the UK for up to 10 years if you fail to disclose this information. Please remember the example below is just to give you an idea of what to expect when completing the form. You must ensure you complete your application with all details relevant to your circumstances. The form is intelligent so the questions will alter depending on the answers you provide; it is very likely that you may have some slightly different questions than appear in the example below. Creating your application: On the opening screen you will need to click register an account in order to complete your application. Once you have registered an account you will be able to log in to your application. You will need to click apply for myself and read the following information:

3 Personal Details and Choosing the Correct Visa Application: You will next need to complete some personal details then choose your visa type. You will need to choose your reason for visit, visa type and visa sub type. For most students the reason for visit will be Study ; the visa type will be PBS Tier 4 Student and the visa subtype will be Tier 4 (General) Student. If you are sponsored by your government or international organisation or you will need to choose the sub type of Tier 4 (General) (Sponsored Student). You will also need to choose the appropriate sub category if you are under 18, applying as a dependant or receiving a scholarship for your studies.

4 Completing the Tier 4(General) application: The website will then generate the online form. You will need to complete all mandatory fields, marked with a red star, to be able to progress through the form. You will be able to save your application by clicking on the purple save button in the left hand menu:

5 Passport and Travel Information This is information is fairly straightforward, but must be the same as is shown on your passport.

7 Personal Details and Travel History: Personal Details: You must ensure your contact details are accurate in case the embassy needs to contact you for further information on your application. Travel History: You MUST ensure that you complete ALL details requested. Failure to include all details particularly in regard to any visas you may have been refused can lead to a ban from the UK for up to 10 years for deception. If you indicate yes above, the following box pops up for you to provide further details. You can add as many sections as you need; do not leave any information out.

10 Family Information The following section asks for details of your family including information about any dependants you may wish to bring:

11 Medical Treatment: You must indicate truthfully declare on the next section if you have ever received medical treatment in the UK. It is safer to declare a treatment, even if only for a minor complaint, than to leave the information out.

12 Sponsor Details, Course, Fees & Maintenance and Points: The next section relates to Aston University your Tier 4 Sponsor, your course information, your maintenance and fees and points you are claiming for your application. 16 Additional Information: The final section is called Additional Information. You should indicate here any further information about you want to include supporting your application. For example, if you have stated earlier in the application that you have had a previous visa refusal, but have not been able to provide much information, you can include further details here. For example you could explain that a previous refusal was only for failure to have held funds in your account for the required 28 day period and that you were then granted a new visa at a future date. If there are any other issues which you have highlighted earlier in the form, or which should be explained in the form include them here. THIS INCLUDES IF YOU HAVE EVER OVERSTAYED ON YOUR VISA. Even if you only overstayed by a few days and this was a number of years ago you must ensure this information is included. Once you have completed the application you will need to click confirm application. You will then be able to check all of the information you have provided. If you have made a mistake or want to
