1 Error: If you are getting the following error message while using TDS application New version of TDS application requires installation of Sql server 2005.Now application is running sql server installation process. Internet connectivity may be required. Process will take time. Reason:Please note that this message normally comes when Microsoft Sql Server 2005 with the instance of kdksql is not installed on your system. (you can check the same from services list Start Run Services.msc with the service name SQL Server kdk sql). However, to solve the issue you need to install the SQL Server 2005 but in case it is not getting installed on your system then you need to install SQL Server 2008 and create kdksql instance. To install Microsoft SQL Server 2008 on your system following software requirements should meet: Windows Installer 3.1 should be installed. You can download it from the following link: Download the setup WindowsInstaller-KB v2-x86.exe Windows Installer 4.5 should be installed. You can download the setup the setup WindowsXP-KB v3-x86.exe from the link provided below. This download package will update the version of Windows Installer on your system to version 4.5.

2 Microsoft Dot net Framework 3.5 should be installed. You can download its setup file from the following link: Download the setup dotnetfx35setup.exe. Please Note: In case of Windows Vista and Windows 7 installation of the above said software requirements is not necessary. SQL Server 2008 Express installation setup: To download the setup of Sql Server 2008 Express please click on the option no. AE (bottom right corner) on our website it will direct you to the Microsoft s download center. Download the setup file SQLEXPR_x64_ENU.exe for 64-bit operating system. Download the setup file SQLEXPR_x86_ENU.exe for 32-bit operating system. How to check system configuration: Method 1. Click Start, and then click on Run or Start Search. 2. Type msinfo32.exe and then press Enter key. 3. In System Information, review the value for the System Type item:

3 o o For 32-bit editions of Windows, the value of the System Type item is x86-based PC. For 64-bit editions of Windows, the value of the System Type item is x64-based PC. Installation Steps of SQL Server 2008: Step 1: Double click on the setup file downloaded as shown in the image below: Step 2: Please wait setup is extracting the files Step 3: Click on the first option New installation or add features in the existing installation. Please wait process will take time till next window will come.

4 Step 4: Select the option I accept the license terms then click next. Step 5: Please wait SQL server setup files are installing Step 6: Here, please ensure Database Engine Services, SQL Server replication and SQL client connectivity SDK optionshould be checked then click on next.

5 Step 7: In this window select Named Instance type here kdksql then click on next. Step 8: Here, in SQL Server Database Engine account name column select NT Authority\Network service from the drop down menu the click on next. Step 9: Select Mixed Mode and give password In case Specify SQL Server Administrators panel is blank then click on Add Current User and select it.click on next.

6 Step 10: Click on next without selection the option given in this window. Step 11: Installation is in process please wait for sometime: Step 12: Now SQL Server 2008 is successfully installed, click on close to exit the installation process.

7 This will install the SQL Server 2008 on your system. Please note: Now, run the TDS application if you are using it first time after installation then it will ask for Data Migration from Previous Zen TDS Data (Mydql ) to New Zen TDS Database (Sql server 2005). Here, first click on Repair Database Wait for some time it will show Mysql Data are successfully repaired. Now, click on OK. Now, click on Proceed once data get repaired. When it get complete click on OK

8 Restart the TDS application. It will take some time in opening. This should solve the problem.
