In addition, current principal will leave due to family reason, and the two appointed directors Vice Principal and Treasurer of the PCS will complete their 2nd two-year term respectively, the Board welcomes the Vice Principal and the Treasurer to seek re-appointment, but also invites other candidates to participate in the election for posts of the Principal, the Vice Principal and the Treasurer. People who are interested in this position please send your resume, school management and development plan to Secretary of PCS, Ms. Xiaohong Liao, at liaoxiaohong@gmail.com by March 26, Job Description: The duties and performance responsibilities of PCS principal include but not limit to: - Accept the leadership of PCS Board, serve as the head of PCS for execution complying with the policy and direction set by the PCS board. - Be responsible for the school day-to-day operation, administration and external liaison. - Develop school work and management procedures and regulations for the staffs to follow, and monitor the status of implementation. - Submit school year budget proposal for PCS board s approval, monitor and control school expenditure to make sure the actual expenditure in the approved budget range. Perform a financial closing at end of each semester in order to check the execution status of the revenue and cost incurred. Answer any inquiry from PCS board. - Approve expense for the school items under the account of the cost of materials, including textbooks, materials for language and culture classes. - Prepare report on school activities and educational programs for PCS Members Meetings, foster good communications among students, parents, teachers and staffs, and promote service awareness among school staffs to improve the school services. - Plan to conduct in-service education workshops for the staffs. - Be responsible for recruiting the teachers and administrative staffs and evaluating their performance ; inform and receive approval from PCS board before dismiss any unqualified teacher or administrative staff; - Supervise the development of the teaching plan, and organize the training for teachers to promote the educational excellence. - Manage and coordinate the school activities, such as the graduation ceremony, awards nomination for staffs, teachers and students etc.

5 - With the guidance from PCS board, the principal will decide whether and how the PCS students to participate the cultural festival and community service activities out of PCS. - Conduct other tasks PCS Board assigns. Job Requirement: - The incumbent must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent President. - Be passionate on popularize Chinese Language and culture, adhere to the purpose of the PCS - Be enthusiastic on public welfare and be accountable - Master degree with excellent written and oral communication skills; (Degree on education, management related or school working experience would be a plus) - Extensive experience or knowledge on instructional process, public relations, school finance, school law, personnel management, administration management, supervision, curriculum and education processes. - Demonstrated skills on organization, problem solving and leadership. - Excellent interpersonal skills with staff, parents, students and community members. - Demonstrated vision, knowledge and competency to bring innovative, best practices to PCS. - Viable teaching and work management objective and the implementation plan - Proficiency in operating the computer and use the office application software. ***Please note that the incumbent must provide Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearances (CY113) and Pennsylvania Criminal Record Checks BEFORE the hiring decision is made. The Child Abuse Clearance normally takes 4 weeks to complete and the Criminal Record Checks can be applied online and the report will be available on the same day. Introduction of Pittsburgh Chinese School (PCS) Founded in 1977, Pittsburgh Chinese School (PCS) is a non-politics, non-religion and non- profit educational organization which is focusing on teaching Chinese language and sharing Chinese Culture. PCS is managed by the volunteers from the parents of the students. PCS currently has more than 60 teachers and more than 300 enrolled students. We offers more than 30 classes for teaching Chinese Language and more than 20 cultural classes for arts, music, dance, martial arts, chess, ball games and other kinds of talent classes as well as the SAT and HSK remedial classes. The major duties include but not limited to: - Prepare yearly budget with the principal. - Assist Finance Director on generating and implementing controlling policy and procedures. - Maintain financial records. Prepare financial reports for PCS Board meeting and PCS members meeting. Provide related forms to the Sponsors, Insurer or other stakeholders. - Monitor Bank statements and handle Accounts receivables. - Monitor reserved fund. Report to PCS Board before any financial decision or action to be made. - Prepare tax forms for paid employees, File tax return (Federal and state) for PCS. - Cooperate with PCS board assigned CPA to perform yearly financial audit. - Conduct financial analysis and prepare financial reports for PCS board to review - Perform other related duties as required Job Requirement: The incumbent must be U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and is required to have the following experience, knowledge and skills. - Minimum Bachelor s degree in Finance or Accounting with at least 3 years of related financial and administrative working experience. - Proficient knowledge in GAAP, payroll systems and reporting, programs accounts payable and accounts receivables. - Strong and effective communication skills on verbal, listening and writing in both Chinese and English - Strong Analytical and problem solving skills - Computer skills including the ability to manage the financial data with spreadsheet and word processing programs The incumbent must maintain strict confidentiality in performing the duties of the Treasurer. S/he must also demonstrate the following personal attributes: - Be honest and trustworthy - Be flexible - Demonstrate sound work ethics
