I presented two hour-long workshops at the University of Maine at Augusta at the request of Nicholas Ourusoff. The talks were entitled Teaching the Object-Oriented Paradigm and Using Sockets and Threads in Java in Professional Association and Membership Association for Computing Machinery The Consortium for Computing in Small Colleges Department/College Service I have served on the Faculty Welfare Committee since fall I was elected to serve on the General Education Committee in 1998, reelected in 2001, having to resign when I became Department Chair of CS & T, and started another three-year term fall 2007, and served as chair of the Committee for two years. I served on the Campus-wide Steering Committee from 2007 until 2009 I chaired Computer Science and Technology from August 2003 until January I served on the Council of Chairs from August 2003 until December I have served on the Women's Studies Council from 1997 until 2008 and served as chair for two years, starting I served on the Institutional Research Board from 2002 until I served on the Academic Review Committee from 2003 through I was elected to serve on the Curriculum Committee fall I have served on the Technical Advisory Group since 2003 until 2007.

8 I have chaired the John K. Walsh Scholarship Committee since I have been serving as faculty advisor to the ALSO student group since I co-presented a workshop with Jeanne DuBino on Diversity in Math, Science and Technology on March 16 th, 2004 in Frost Academic Commons. I co-facilitated a workshop on Faculty Day in 2007 on assessing student achievement in Creative Thought courses. I was part of a group of six faculty who presented a Faculty Day workshop on Reflective Practice in I was part of a Faculty group that presented a Faculty Day workshop on Safe Classrooms and Hostile Learning Environments: Rhetoric and Realities in 2006 I co-presented with Cathie LeBlanc a Faculty-day session on web-page creation in fall 1999, 2000, and I served as a replacement committee member on the Academic Standards Committee during the 1997 and 1998 academic years. I facilitated and helped organize a 1998 Faculty-day session on feminist pedagogy. I served on two ITS, two CS & T, one Criminal Justice and one Art Department hiring committees. Outreach I served on the Board of the Pemi-Baker Home Health and Hospice from 2009 until spring of I have volunteered with the Voices Against Violence (formerly the Task Force Against Domestic and Sexual Violence) as a hotline volunteer, court advocate, and a technical consultant from 2000 until 2009.
