2 1. General DIVAR IP 2000 is an affordable, easy to use all-in-one recording management solution for network surveillance systems of up to 16 channels (all channels pre-licensed). Running the full Bosch recording solution including the Video Streaming Gateway to integrate 3rd party cameras, DIVAR IP 2000 is an intelligent IP storage device that provides both, a professional video recording solution and ease of operation. DIVAR IP 2000 is a 4-bay mini tower unit that combines advanced management and state-of-the-art recording management into a single cost-effective, plug and play IP recording appliance for IT-minded customers which are seeking for a state-of-the-art second generation DVR and NVR recording solution. The system comes with the following network settings Default o IP Settings: automatically obtained from DHCP server o Computer name: mydivar Fallback o IP Address: o Subnet mask: Remote access o Port of web interface / recording system: 80 (http), 443 (https) o Port range for devices / cameras: o Supported DDNS services: dyndns.org, no-ip.com, selfhost.com Initial installation o The system is designed for remote operation and web based configuration. No monitor, mouse and keyboard need to be used. Only network and power connection is required for setup and operation. o Configuration Wizard can be accessed via the following URL: o The IP Helper application can be used as a fallback option for network configuration. Installation Notes This software is available as an online update for the products listed above. The update can be applied via Configuration Wizard or Device Monitor, if the system is connected to the internet. 4

6 DIVAR IP 2000 is designed for remote operation and web based configuration - no need to plug in any peripherals. A standard PC or tablet computer can be used to set up the system in a few guided steps via the web based configuration wizard. Video Security App and Video Client offer advanced playback and live viewing capabilities for all video devices connected to a DIVAR IP Reliable storage and operation For constant monitoring and management the operating system is always running redundantly. This way the user can be sure to be alerted in case an error such as a hard drive failure appears. Critical health states can be received as an notification and monitored via the web based dashboard. Disk failures can easily be handled with a few guided configuration steps. The web based configuration wizard provides an option for redundant storage of the recorded video data. Hard drive mirroring The hard drives can optionally be configured in RAID1 mode to provide redundant storage of the video data. DHCP support The system is designed to obtain network settings automatically in a DHCP network. Assignment of static IP addresses is supported but not required. Software update options Updates for the recording engine, new camera firmware packages and OS patches can be downloaded and applied from an online source via the web based user interface. If the system is not connected to the internet, updates can be uploaded manually from any workstation. 6
