You hear a lot about Internet Marketing and Network Marketing but what exactly is Affiliate Marketing? Before I tell what Affiliate Marketing is all about, let me say this: you probably already know a lot about it and I don't need to tell you any more than you already know. I can over-simplify the explanation and encapsulate it for you, but what you REALLY want to know is how you can make a full time living off of it. People like myself, and others, make lots of money selling affiliate products and services for a variety of companies. The keyword here is companies (or individuals) in plural, and not just one product. It helps to have multiple revenue streams, and can seem a little confusing. But, I'm going to simplify it in this report. Page - 1 -

3 What is Affiliate Marketing and How Can You Make a Full Time Living With It? You don't have to be a webmaster to make money with Affiliate Marketing. While certain webmaster skills might help you in the long run, it's not necessary to get started. Just about any mom and pop can do affiliate marketing on some level. Does that mean EVERYBODY can do it? No. I'm not going to kid you and tell you that every fifth grader can do this, nor can everybody else. But if you find something that will fill a need in your community, or online, you can make some money with it. Heck, even truck drivers that I know are making an extra $5,000 a month with some form of affiliate marketing because it fits into their schedule. And, they didn't have to quit their jobs either! Don't let gurus and webmasters fool you: they may know a lot of the ins and outs of the Internet and Affiliate Marketing, but they're not sharing all their secrets with you either. Today, I'm going to give you the mother lode in this report. If you're new to the Internet, you may just be wondering how you can make that investment you call a computer pay you back in dividends. Maybe you bought your computer with the sole purpose of just staying in touch with friends and family, or surfing the Internet, or using it on social media sites like Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter. Then again, you may have bought your computer with the specific purpose of making a living with it. Whatever reason is fine enough. It's not complicated, really, and this report will help serve you as a guide. Page - 3 -

4 Let's Get Started Let's cover just exactly what affiliate marketing is and is not... Affiliate marketing is when you sell or get leads for someone else s service or product. You're going to find a lot of people that do this: some better than others. Don't let the failures be your determining factor. Learn from the SUCCESSFUL affiliate marketers, and you'll have a head start on those who only wish in one hand and spit in the other. When a company needs help making sales, they allow people to sign up as affiliates, they are willing to pay a commission or a flat rate per lead or sale. Depending on the company, this percentage or flat rate will vary. The upside to this is there's no investment on your part, but there's also some downsides to it, too. If you don't do anything with your affiliate business... you won't make any money. And, you might struggle and go about it the wrong way and end up not making any money at all. It's not the affiliate program's fault, per se, but just how you go about it. When you successfully get leads and sales for your affiliate company, then you make commissions... and a paycheck. Affiliate marketing can be used to make a decent income several ways: You can use a website, a blog, a newsletter, marketing (think autoresponders), classified ads etc. The list goes on and on... However, the most popular form of affiliate marketing is done with a website. Page - 4 -

5 When you choose the market that you want to promote, be sure that you choose one that you are familiar with. This way you can become an authority on the topic, and everyone will know that you are the expert in that market. Once that is done, it is time for a URL. What's a URL, you ask? A URL is a Uniform Resource Locator: just a fancy-smancy description for a domain... or a website. There are many places where you can get your own domain registered, but once you decid where you will purchase that from, choose a URL that has the topic you are selling in the URL for the best results. For example, if you are wanting to market cat food, you don't want to use a URL that has the word dog in it. And, vice versa. Make sure that everything is all relevant. Some webmasters have their favorites when it comes to domain registrars. I have mine, too. I don't use or recommend GoDaddy.com for several reasons, which I won't elaborate here. Let's just say they have a great marketing model, but that's about all I can say for them. If you want to use them for registration or hosting, then be my guest. But, if you ever have problems with customer service issues you'll remember I told you so. I personally prefer 1And1.com and HostingNation.com as my registrars and web hosting services Now that you have your market and your URL chosen, you will want to determine the hosting that you will use for your website. You need dependable hosting for the best results. A hosting company that has more up time than down time is best because during the down time, your website will not be accessible. So, get some recommendations from others that have tried a few and use the best that you can find. It is worth it to pay for good hosting. Once that is done, you are ready to get your affiliate links and website set up so that you can market the most Page - 5 -

6 effectively. Determine the amount of money that you want to make, and set up an outline of how you are going to make it. There are so many ways that you can get a website out there to be seen, and you will want to make the best decisions. So, finding out the best ways for you to do this is that is cost effective is a good start. Learning SEO which is also known as search engine optimization is a great idea. Using SEO to get your site higher in the search engine rankings with keywords will pay off in the end. You can learn it yourself, or you can pay someone to do this part for you. It is up to you. However, you should know that learning and using SEO yourself is time consuming. Hiring an SEO guru might be better for you. Write articles about the market that you are promoting from your website and submit them to all of the article directories. When you include a back link to the site that you are optimizing that will help you as well with the search engines. Affiliate marketing is not anything that you can make money with over night. You need to be able to build up and keep adding to your website daily or weekly, and keep it going. You can do it, just don t give up. Page - 6 -
