If you took the vote away from the LDS and did not allow them to vote the measure would have still passed. It passed twice. It passed because the majority of Californias wanted it. Get over it You lost and you've lost in 30 states. And you're going to loose in a lot more states. Why target the LDS church? Shouldn't the gay community be going after the citizens in California that actually voted? Pro prop 8 was funded by individual donations. The church did not empty their coifers to force through the prop. They put their money towards an issue that was put to a vote. The gay community had the same opportunity to collect funds for their side. Maybe the gay community should spend more time getting money for their side and less time worrying who funds the opposition. WTH? they want who's stopping them to put their penis in someone's poop or abusing kids and trying to make them like themselves. They want to destroy marriage just to get financial benefits, it has nothing to do with love. die stupid gays The Mormons do not hate gays or anyone, this is not about hatred. This is a misunderstanding. We can disagree with acts without hating the people. Denying Homosexuals marriage is not denying them their civil rights. Marriage in not a civil right. The government controls who can marry. 1st cousins cannot marry, no one can have more than one spouse. Brothers and Sisters cannot marry. Children under a certain age cannot marry. It just proves it's the Lord's church on the earth and we have the authority to act on his behalf and there's nothing you or the government can do to change that so spit away. 2 why do gays want marriage so bad? Can they really not think and maybe come up with their own institution? Really seems they intentionally wish to mock everything. with such high promiscuity rate in there community I dont see it likely they can even keep there own vows any better than traditionally married couples. in fact, stats show lesbian divorces in some countries are much higher than that of straight married couples. some gays are hypocrites and liars in every meaning of the word. If people want to live that life style it's their choice but don't force it on innocent children who don't know better and that's what's happening in Canada and Massachusetts. We are protecting our children from a life of dissappointment. Yes a high percentage of youth who are drawn in by lies that they are gay and that it's okay everything will be fine attitude commit suicide because they realize the mistake they have made and can't seem to go back and look at their families because of the embarrassment of that decision. It's all about self gratification this day and age. Remember "PRIDE" comes before the fall my friend! Its not the Church that has made the issue of marriage a matter of federal law. Those who are vigorously advocating for something called same-gender marriage have essentially put that potato on the fork. Theyre the ones who have created a situation whereby the law of the land, one way or the other, is going to address this issue of marriage. This is not a situation where the Church has elected to take the matter into the legal arena or into the political arena. Its already there. How strange to see "Separate is not Equal" signs in the crowd! These protesters don't understand that religious people and other conservatives see homosexuallity as a BEHAVIOR and not an ethnicity. These people are out there holding up anti-hate signs when they are doing just that, what a bunch of hypocrites. Attacking a church that didn't give any funds to the "yes on Prop 8". How low will these people go? Freedom of religion is in the constitution isn't it? Listen up people. The LDS church did not donate any money to the yes on prop 8 cause, the members alone donated to it. Members have a right to vote democratically and donate to whatever cause they wish and vote as to their beliefs. They were a very small percentage of the vote. You don't have to change the definition of marriage to get the same benefits. There are other ways around the issue. The minority shouldn't choose for the majority. It's not democratic!

Moreover, even though I did and do support prop 8 it was a really hard struggle for me because I know how strongly I would feel if I were in the shoes of the gay community. There is no possible way that people won't get emotional about this issue but the profanity and hateful comments are really getting old aren't they? Like some guy said, "Profanity is the attempt of a feeble mind to speak forcibly," or something to that effect. i meant that marriage shouldnt be a state institution. check your facts. gays are more likely to get hiv because they practice anal sex. the rectum was not designed to have a penis rammed up it. its not politically correct to say so, but then again i am not politically correct. if you think im a bigot for not agreeing with the homo lifestyle then so be it. i am a bigot. i dont care. Marriage is NOT a civil right. Marriage is a sacred institution created by god for one man and one woman. They can wave all the signs they want and shout as loud as they can but they will NEVER silence the truth. i am not pushing my lifestyle on anybody. my country stands for freedom and the pursuit of happiness. gays can do what they want, but have no right to push their believes on peoples religion that think their lifestyle is vile. marriage is a religious act that the state took over because we were a Christian nation. gays can have their domestic partnerships i never said you could practice your vile behavior and spread HIV. i also believe that marriage should be a state institiution. now go back to your bathhouse and catch something can some one please tell me how gays do not have equal rights to straights. they can do any thing i can do so how is this uneaqual. its one thing with the black rights a few decades ago cause there was nothing moraly wrong with being black and they could not help but being black(well unless your michle jackson lol) however gay is a life style CHOICE. gays need to stop throwing their lifestyle in peoples faces. some people are offended by it. you remember we dont offend people in America I agree, there really probably isn't anything to be afraid of. But my point is that the gay community would be better served by focusing their energies at using legislative channels. By protesting religious organizations they are adding fuel to

4 the false fear fire. Now, more than ever it appears that the gay community wants limit religious freedoms. It's probably not true, gays probably couldn't care less about religious groups' freedoms, but they are making it appear that they do. You may be right, no one can predict the future. But from the examples we have in Massachusettsand now Connecticut it seems that when gay couples marry the next thing that happens are lawsuits against churches. Most of these suits have been unsuccessful so far, but it proves that when gay marriages are legalized religious freedoms are challenged. Now you are right, ultimately religious freedoms probably wouldn't be taken away, but prop 8 passed based on that justified fear. I don't think that either side should act like that. I think that most people, religious poeple included, denounce that type of dispicable treatment of anyone, I certainly do. Gays have been horribly mistreated; beaten, harassed, and even killed over the years. I think that's horrible. I don't hate gays and I would never do any of those things. I do strongly disagree with the gay community, but any action that I have ever taken has been legal, dignified and civil. Both sides need to do the same. Check your facts. The church did not donate money to the "Yes on 8" campaign. Members of the church as private citizens gave donations directly to the "yes on 8" campaign, the church was not used as a middleman. That's true, religious fanaticism shouldn't ever dictate the law, nor should any one group. But prop 8 was passed by California voters, not just one group. It seems counterproductuve for the LGBT community to now turn their anger toward one religious group. That's why prop 8 passed in the first place. Religious gropus were afraid (perhaps erroneously) that gays wanted to limit religious freedoms. It seems that these protests are confirming and adding to those fears. Good job California not passing this law. These people need shock treatment. Its OK there is a cure for your sickness its called death. You make it sound like the LDS Church is the government...it is not! 3-5% of Californians are LDS, yet LGBT has targeted them as the only ones who took an opposing stance on this Prop. Look at the bigotry and hate mongering by the LGBT toward a religious group! The church asked it's members to get involved and the members responded. The members are CITIZENS and the people have spoken, not just MORMONS. I see a lot of hypocrisy in the LGBT protests! Peace. there is a reason we call gays homo and straight hetero. so why should hetero marriage be altered to allow homos to be equal to it? Call it something different!! Yes on 8 always.

Take that to your lawyer. And Churches have a right to speak up on issues of morality. Bunch of fags. Get over it, the people don't accept your degenerate lifestyle. Gay marriage will probably be legal some day, on earth. In the next life, there won't even be "gays" let alone gay marriage. Watching this... I notcied most there were men. Men who *could* be or have been Priesthood holders. Our marriage covenants are bound by the Priesthood... no Priesthood holders, no covenants. That is very sad. It is obvious that satan knows what he is doing... making evil seem good and good seem evil. How sad. a minority is classified by race. Last time I checked, Gay is not a race. This is not a civil rights issue. It is a religious and moral one. How does it help your cause NOW to protest against them? The Vote is over. Mormons were proactive in fighting for their cause. If money and support are what won the vote, how do you explain that the no on 8 campign raised more money, and ran a much higher amount of television advertising? Yes on 8 supporters took their support to the streets before the campaign. Stop sulking in your procrastination. I thought the left was pro-choice. The people made their choice, NO GAY MARRIAGE. These people are acting like spoiled children who didn't get their way. And why attack the Mormons. They were 2% of the vote. Why aren't they throwing their tantrum at the other 98%? What a bunch of hypocrites and liars. Freedom for only those they deem eligible.
