2 Context of Telematic in PT system The Information systems ensure nowadays a strategic continuous virtual link between Infrastructures, vehicles and passengers to follow and to optimize our processes of transport operator ITS

3 Status of Telematic for busses in PT Proprietary systems on board and at the back-office for applications like AVMS, passengers information, ticketing or CCTV Inextensible systems with the last updated applications Costly systems in investment and maintenance Redundancy of key function like driver displays, geolocalization, wireless communication Poor ergonomic systems for the driver Stand-alone real-time and embedded systems

14 Standardization Results of EBSF working groups WP2.3 & WP3.2 increase the current standard EN13149 (Worldfip, CanOpen, IBIS) for a next ITS architecture Standardization works are linked with CEN TC278 WG3 (Transport public) SG1 (onboard telematic), SG7 (SIRI) & SG9 (NeTEx) composed of European experts : Germany, United Kingdom, Sweden, Czechoslovakia, Italy and France Main goal is to achieve a European standard at horizon 2013
