3 1. Organization Information 1.1 Organization Overview Located in San Antonio, Texas, Castle Hills First Baptist School is a non-profit, independent private school. The school consists of 3 buildings located on the campus of Castle Hills Church, housing grades K Technology Environment Castle Hills First Baptist School students use the Windows platform on all computers. Kinder-4 th grade students have access to Windows based classroom tablet sets. Students in grades 5-12 have a 1:1 program; those students have Asus-Windows machines. The majority of the teachers and staff have Dell-Windows based computers. At any given time, there are at least 300 computers on network. 2. Statement of Work 2.1 Project Purpose The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals for internal connection to our network. Castle Hills First Baptist School is accepting proposals for SonicWall or equivalent firewall and a Ruckus Wireless Controller. 2.2 Project Ambitions The components are to be able to work on our existing network. 3. Scope of Work & Business Requirements 3.1 Business and Technical Requirements Ruckus Wireless Controller is required to integrate with all currently used Ruckus A/P s. 3.2 Reliability A 99.95% or greater uptime is required with a Fail Over system or mechanism in place to prevent service interruptions. An example would be redundant fibers between headends and generators to provide power. A bandwidth speed guarantee to ICN is required. 3.3 Security Adequate security policies and measures that secure the district s traffic from unauthorized individuals. An example of this would be a virtual private link that segments the district s traffic from other networks. 3.4 Equipment Network equipment should be compatible with HP Pro-Curve routers and switches.

4 3.5 Liability/Responsibility Provide equipment as specified. 4. Proposal Submission Procedures 4.1 Proposal Submission Schedule Posting Date: February 26, 2016 RFP Closing Date: On or before April 1, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. ISP s Proposal Submission Evaluation Period: April 4-8, 2016 Award Date: April 11, 2016 (Dates are subject to change without notice) 4.2 Proposal Submission Reception By responding to this RFP, the Vendor/ISP agrees to have a full understanding of the requirements, along with all other details of this RFP, it is the Vendor/ISP s responsibility to ask questions in order to gain a full understanding of this RFP. Castle Hills First Baptist School retains the right to disqualify a Vendor/ISP if there is a failure to meet all requirements and/or does not display a clear understanding of the RFP. The right to disqualify a vendor extends beyond the afore-mentioned award date and Castle Hills First Baptist School will not be at fault, cost or liability. 4.3 Good Faith Statement The information in its entirety, that is contained in the RFP, provided by Castle Hills First Baptist School, is offered in good faith, all items are subject to change at any time based on internal and external circumstances. Castle Hills First Baptist School does not offer any guarantees that the information provided is without error. Castle Hills First Baptist School will not be held responsible or liable for any use of this information or any claims asserted therefrom. 4.4 Communication & Proposal Submission Rules Only written communications from a Castle Hills First Baptist School employee that is directly responsible for and/or governs the RFP process is considered valid. Verbal communication will not supersede written communication in any case. 5 5. ISP Information ISP MUST submit: Legal name, address, year of incorporation, BBB rating and 7 customer service references. If any of the above items are not submitted, the proposal will be disqualified. 6. Budget Estimate and Resource Requirement Castle Hills First Baptist School requires all ISPs to submit a budget with the estimated monthly cost and a breakdown of all connection and maintenance costs.
