3 Introduction The competitiveness of many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is too low for them to exist on the EU common market. The need is recognized for delivering systematic support to those SMEs, in order to help them achieve higher scale of competitiveness. First step was forming the national Association of ICT Clusters (Cro.Ict), with the main objective: developing market-oriented structures for the ICT SMEs, introducing innovative concepts and instruments. In this context, one of the tasks of the Association of Croatian ICT Clusters (cro.ict), is to prepare and deliver a series of trainings for the Cluster Managers and other experts, from the member companies. At present, Cro.Ict has initiated forming of the Cro.Ict Academy, organized as an association of practitioners and knowledge workers. We have contracted initial funding for the Academy, and set up initial portfolio of workshops and seminars. in the ICT sector, by means of improving skills in specific key target groups (innovation key actors, financial operators) and actions aimed to raise awareness of technological progress importance among SEE Clusters and cluster members.

Objectives: Target Group: Prerequisites: Quality Culture Development & SW Process Improvement The goal of this workshop is to provide practical information about the implementation of SPI (Software Process Improvement) initiatives in ITintensive organizations Managers, quality managers and project managers None for the target group Content: How can process improvement contribute to corporate excellence? Technical requirements: Wht does process improvement mean for IT development companies? Overview of the main SPI implementation concepts and issues How does process improvement work in practice? How SMEs can benefit from the support program? Case studies Projector, flip chart, preferably seating arrangement that encourages discussion (U shape) Duration: Date: Location: Trainer: 1 day, 9 17 (1 hour break for lunch/networking/ , 2x30min breaks for snack/coffee/ /networking) Mario Jerončič, Zvonimir Stipetić and Milivoj Šefer Mario Jerončić has 20 years working experience in IT sector in Croatia. He was a Project Manager for such large scale projects as developing an integrated ICT business system for the Ministry of social Welfare ( ). Successful project implementation included more than 200 legal entities across Croatia. He also took part in projects for large companies, such as FINA, Slobodna Dalmacija etc. Besides that, all that time Mario had leading roles in his company, Enel-Split from Support department, Marketing and sales, Development, to Member of the Board, which is a position he holds for several years. Mario Jerončić graduated in at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Shipbuilding at Split University as an electrical engineer. As a postgraduate at Split University, in Mario achieved the masters degree in management, at the Faculty of Economics. At present, Mario Jerončić is preparing a doctoral thesis in the field of Business Process Management.
5 Combining his long work experience and managerial positions in a well known Croatian software company, with his academic background, he is in position to discuss and share a lot of fresh insights and comprehensive management concepts. Zvonimir Stipetić graduated in at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at University of Zagreb as a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications and Informatics. He s been working in Iskra Delta Computers as a Tech Support Specialist, R&D Specialist and in Elektroprimorje Power Distribution Utility as a System Analyst and Programmer, System Administrator. For the last sixteen years he is working as a Chief Architect and Consultant in Multilink d.o.o. Rijeka. His key qualifications are: Hands-on experience in all phases of IT product lifecycle, including R&D, documentation, QA and transfer to production, Marketing, Sales, Training and Support. Teaching and training experience, including preparation of educational programmes and materials. Experience in requirement analysis and preparation of system proposals. Preparation and presentation of strategies to government. Milivoj Šefer gaduated as a Bachelor of Science in Economics. His present working position is in Multilink d.o.o. Rijeka as an Executive Director. With more then thirty years of experience in Riječka banka d.d. Rijeka, Optima grupa holding d.o.o. Buje Rijeka branch office and Multilink d.o.o. Rijeka he developed certain skills and competencies such as: Extensive knowledge of banking business systems and services distribution channels Competence in telecom and judicial business systems Part-time teacher (Cobol) and manager in ZPR school

Objectives: Target Group: Prerequisites: Software Engineering for Developers and Development Managers At the conclusion of this workshop, you will: understand the major issues in contemporary software development and maintenance; understand more about the practices which typically apply in software development projects, from cradle to grave; see software as a part of a larger system and be familiar with the principles of systems engineering as they are relevant to software. In addition, each attendee should have 3-4 specific actionable takeaways that can be implemented in their organization to start driving development and maintenance cost down, and drive profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction up. Marin Bezić has been with Microsoft for 12 years. 8 years in the core development team of SQL Server as developer and developer manager. 4 years in business management and marketing in Microsoft EMEA and Microsoft CEE; Roberto Gobo, spent last 15 years in Ireland, USA, India, Slovenia, where he worked as Developer, Technical Lead, Project Manager, Program Manager, Delivery Manager in companies like Hewlett Packard, Vodafone, BT, Hermes SoftLab. He specialized in delivering outsourced projects, setting up outsourced operations, improving development process, introduce release process into organizations. In this seminar, Roberto and Marin will discuss the importance of SWE from the developers/testers perspective based on their experiences. Issues that will be discussed include Why SWE and what does it mean for me, how will SWE make me more productive, minimize misunderstanding and stress, what should I expect from my managers and colleagues, why should I raise issues and ask for help, what tools are out there to make me more productive. The presenters will also discuss specific techniques of SWE how to capture user requirements in good design and functional specifications, how to ensure high quality with continuous integration processes, how to write high quality, secure code, that will perform under stress.

10 Topic 4. Objectives: Target Group: Project Management Concept and Practice The main goal is to give all participants the context of Project Management. In order to understand principles of project management seminar will cover the following objectives: - What is project management (basic definitions)? - The organizational level of Project Management. - Focusing projects on the business (projects and strategy linkages). - Implementing Business Focused and Objective directed Project Management. - The Project Phases. - The Project Life Cycles. - The Project Knowledge Areas. - Dealing with Risks. - The professional responsibilities. This 1 day seminar is organized and written primarily with the following audience in mind: - Potential project participants responsible for the project planning and for delivery of results that enable business outcomes to be achieved. - Managers and engineers responsible for converting organizational strategies into business outcomes. - Students of project management requiring a practical and business approach to the subject. He then joined the Research & Development Department of Nikola Tesla (major national manufacturer of telecommunication equipment). He worked for Ericsson Ltd., Ascom, Sophia Antipolis Technology Park (France) before joining Telscom AG (Bern-CH) where he was responsible for Access Network development and implemented open access network interface VB5 at Basel Testbed within EU project VIKING. At the some time he served as an advisor to Swisscom AG., in the area of ATM Access Network and Network Management. He was working as a Project Manager in the Business Strategy department of the Swisscom International Ltd., responsible for the deployment of a new voice network in Italy (SCI) and for specifying a new generation network (NGN) in Germany IP Network for Tesion. In the last 12 years he was active (as a team member, work package as well as project leader) in several European projects (e.g. Bonaparte, Cashman, ICT, VIKING etc.). His present position is Consultant in JanusPim d.o.o. as ICT & Project Management Specialist responsible for design methodologies & adaptation ICT architectures and emerging standards as well as leading seminars (Project Management, Strategic Planning, CMMI). He has many publications into his credit.
