The Department has utilized the feedback to enhance consistent growth and creativity in the curriculum. The responses of the students have provided a broad spectrum from which to view how, individually and collectively, curriculum improvement is being implemented in response to University initiatives. On the suggestions of the students various projects and elective courses have been incorporated into the curriculum. Efforts have been made to include various professional enhancements in the existing curriculum. The department collects feedback from the Post-Graduate and M.Phil. students. The was established in 1969 and it started specializing in Literary Criticism, Commonwealth Literature, American Literature, and English Language Teaching. In the last decade, it has moved into Post-Colonial and Culture Studies. Gender Studies, Theatre, Dalit Studies, Australian Studies, Canadian Studies, Translation Studies, English for UGC, English for Corporate Communication, Technical Writing and Copy Editing are some of the areas in which the department has generated knowledge. 51.
