Rudolf Steiner Dear Colleagues, Our international conference for kindergarten and school physicians will take place again from 22 to 25 October 2016 to which we invite all of you very warmly. This conference is at the same time part of a modular further training course which is why we expressly also invite all those of our colleagues who have an interest in subjects associated with kindergarten and school medical practice or very generally in questions of child development. This year our meeting will focus on the subject of The occupational profile of the school physician Medicine in the service of education and will consider key aspects of our interesting and many-facetted area of responsibility: On Saturday we will discuss sleep rhythms with the assistance of Prof. Michael Urschitz from Mainz and the question of the connection between sleeping and learning. On Sunday Claus-Peter Röh will reflect with us on issues and opportunities in the collaboration between teacher and school physician On Monday Michaela Glöckler will work with us on the major subject of the diagnosis of the human constitutional elements by the school physician. And finally: On Tuesday we will investigate the importance of working with parents locally and supraregionally.

3 Joint work on texts, lectures, detailed plenary discussions and case studies will together form the central components of the individual key topics. Always before the lunch break we will engage in movement and together practice eurythmy therapy or Bothmer gymnastics. The early afternoon working groups are varied and diverse in this year too and deliberately extend far beyond our conference theme. Other than in previous years, we do not this year want to decide the subjects of the evening discussion groups in advance. They will arise from the questions and concerns of the participants during the introductory round on the first evening. There will be no interdisciplinary thematic day this year since this first needs to find a new form together with the heads of the Pedagogical Section and the support teachers preparatory group. Our school physicians conference already has its new garment which has resulted from the verbal and written feedback in the last year: more space for the exchange of views and discussion, greater opportunities to speak about what concerns us and perception of the other person, and hopefully greater internationality! But above all we hope that this so fundamental subject will be of interest both to the colleagues who are completely new to working as kindergarten and school physicians and those among us who have worked for years in Waldorf schools and kindergartens and who are willing to share their wealth of experience with us. The meals cannot be booked separately. We regret that food intolerances cannot be catered for. Parking permit for the period of the conference: CHF 25 (not right next to the Goetheanum building). Methods of payment/confirmation On receipt of a group application, the respective institution will receive the account for the group. Subsequent bookings can only be applied for and paid on an individual basis.
