Goals Develop and implement advocacy strategies with a primary focus on skill gaps, essential and advanced skills, mobility, applied research and institutional capacity Produce relevant sets of metrics to advance priority issues based on evidence Engage with business, public sector, Indigenous organizations, regional postsecondary associations and national and international stakeholder groups to promote a pan-canadian approach for advanced skills Support opportunities for Canadian students to learn and intern abroad Be a voice for inclusion and accessible learning, with emphasis on Indigenous communities, people with disabilities, immigrants, older adults and other vulnerable groups in Canada and globally Position literacy and essential skills as a national priority to enhance graduation rates, employability and immigrant integration which drives Canada s economy Explore opportunities with other organizations to collaborate for effective advocacy while respecting their unique contributions and priorities Articulate the capability, capacity, challenges and successes of members 4
